I ordered for the first time from Marecari, from a seller “Sunny”. It was a gift for a friend I was having shipped directly to recipient. An hour later she sends a cancellation. I’ve heard this happens on the less stellar sites but have never experienced it. Another friend had the same experience with the same seller I discovered after I did some complaining to handbag buddies. I will NEVER buy a thing from this seller or ever do business with Mercari EVER! I don’t know if we can post bad seller links but if you want that information please message me privately. I am so MAD!

I don’t need 2 same grey bags but I still can’t part with either lol! Have you used your grey bags enough for them to develop patina? I was wondering what grey looks like after a lot of use!
I have decided that all vintage bags I will buy from now on will be either the flannel grey and/or legacy Rambler in fun and bright colors. I’m hoping this will slow me down.

Will have to get back to you on the patina question. I am almost back to 3 FG bags, as one is being sent back to me. Long story. :cursing:

I'm sorry that happened to you but I wouldn't blame the platform Mercari. Just like ebay and other selling sites, they can't control what their sellers do. I don't know if they restrict them for doing this too often like ebay might. There are plenty of good sellers on that site and I would hate to have everyone boycott them.

I found a catalog pic of the Rambler being offered in “dark grey” & the listing pictures for the one I got looked dark so I thought that’s what I was gonna get lol. Oh no! Sorry to hear about your bag return :(

Oh, it’s not much. I just drove 4 hours to leave it at a flagship store to get pins put on it, found out that all the pins I wanted all weren’t in stock, but I could leave my bag, and they’d do it up and ship it out within the week. Ten days later, got a call saying I brought in a “fake”, but they’d ship it back to me at no cost.:cursing::crybaby:

UM WHAT?! & this is the same company people are trusting to sell authentic vintage coach on their website…

They called one of the bags we authenticated fake?

Well, it left a bad taste in my mouth so I doubt I’ll be shopping there anymore. I’m sure there are reputable sellers but this one wasn’t one if them and I had no way to complain other than send the seller a message.

The same company that does not provide authentication services.

I asked @Hyacinth about it via message. Once it comes back, I’ll post it officially and have everyone look at it. I don’t know what actions I can take, but I had the most perfect set of pins envisioned.
ESCANDALOSO !!! :panic:
But really, Coach needs to get its tish together if they are going into the vintage business (on, I might add, their own product) and be all in or all out. They need to really up their game /transparency on authentification. Or else if they screw it up with authentic bags it will create a huge headache for everyone.
They better start digging around those boxes in storage (my guess, somewhere in Jersey lol) and dig out their old catalogs and specs and start cracking open those archive display cases and seriously get to know their vintage product.
