I wore my rust suspender bag for the first time last week since getting it last July.

I forgot about that rust suspender bag :girlsigh:
Mine would be my red Post Pouch or my rust Pony. I just love to look at them but I won't carry them very often. Maybe once in a while or to a special occasion event but they're definitely not daily carry bags. One day I would like to carry my Pony into a Coach store and see if anyone recognizes it. Just for fun and for a reason to go.
I don't carry my little kisslock Shoulder Purses or BT Winnie often, but they just feel fun and I enjoy having them.
I only discovered vintage Coach summer of 2020 and have already purchased and rehabbed close to 50 bags!!!
Fast track (you're not the only one). I approve
I love this! I would love to find one.

The bag that won't get a lot of wear but I'll always keep is my pre-creed suede watermelon. I have a few other BC bags that I only carry occasionally because I don't want to wear them out, and one that I've never carried.

I just love looking at the suede. And I love the other older, two pocket pouch.

I forgot! All this chat about regrets. I got the hots for a vintage open Marketing Tote early on and found one cheap, like $35 in mocha. It has some deep discoloration here and there, looks like a stain. You see it in bright sun or direct light. God as my witness, I see it on photos of so many older mocha bags. I wonder if it is how the dye ages or something. Well, anywho, the piping is in good shape, as compare to people selling Marketing Totes for crazy money with crap piping. --lurkers, you know who you are--
Well I have passed up a several good looking, not my typical WYRTB purchase, MT's for around $100 in BT and one in burgundy. I feel a bit of tinge for the good looking BT MT from time to time I haven't seen any recently. I have decided if I see either the BT or the burgundy for $100 ish, I would. I have a burg Stewie, so that is helped my burgundy craving.

There is a rust MT :faint: on Etsy. Or was, if it is not still up. I am trying to forget about it. Let me go clutch my rust Saddle.

Was hoping for anyone’s thoughts on that White vintage coach From the 90s? Style I really want and found it NWOT and original box and packaging for 120.00 but so scared of the white.... or bone.... but looks more white...anyone use this color ? Did it get dirty very fast ?
I lust after a white Lennox in beautiful condition.
I would imagine it would show the dirt if you used it continuously. The bag I am looking at is $150 so I am wrapping my head around using a bag one every week or so in the warm weather. Amongst the number of bags I already have.

You should carry your Pony to as many different Coach stores as possible until someone recognizes it! Then they get a special prize, I’m not sure what that could be, but they will win... they will win this imaginary game! Edit: Maybe a ribbon that says “First to Recognize a Quality Coach Bag” har har I kid, I kid
I'll give them one of my little stray vintage hang tags so they have a piece of full grain leather to appreciate, ha ha! I know it's just a retail job for some of the Coach employees but I think it would be fun to meet someone who works or shops there out of a passion for Coach and its history.

Thanks! What other BC bags do you own? Now that I asked this question, I forgot about my yellow retro swing bag (the 50th anniversary one, not BC) that I also have never worn but cannot let go of! Edit: I FORGOT ALSO MY LINDY BAG. Oops.
The Lindy is on the very top of my wish list!! I came so close to buying a yellow one on Etsy once but I didn't. I really regret that now.

I would love to be a fly on the wall if you happened to take your Pony in and there was an associate that was savvy to it. Hell, if I went to Trader Joe's and saw a Pony instead of the usual Station Bag I would go a little nutty and stop and ask for a pic lol.

I took my well loved tabac City in a Coach store a few years ago and the the young sales people just loved it. One of them asked me if it had it unlined interior and when I said yes, he very hesitantly asked if he could see the inside. I was all sure and here take a look at the "Made in NYC USA". I emptied my bag on the counter lol. It seems to me it is the 20 somethings that are enthused and interested. Once the older women can smell I am not going to buy a bag a full retail, they go back to whatever they are doing, usually with thinly veiled irritation and leave me to go all Grandma Coach with the kids. I usually joke about have a large number of vintage bags and there have been several times a young associate is truly interested and sincerely said that they would love for me to bring in any bags to show them.

Okay I have to go look for rust Marketing Tote.

I certainly wouldn’t use it continuously.... sadly I have about 60 bags, maybe more.... but I wonder if I’ll be afraid to you use it at all.... but it’s so beautiful!!! Are you going to get your Lennox?

I briefly owned a bone pocket purse. It picked up marks like a magnet so I sold it before it got too dirty lol

There's a rust marketing tote on Etsy....it's breathtaking! For color and price.

Not now. I am in the middle of clearing out stuff I had in storage. And would really like to pare down a few bags. I have around 60 too, including probably about a dozen I am ready to let go of, and at lease 1/2 dozen that need rehab/cleaning/etc work.
I won't get a bag if I am afraid to use it. Say I ran into it for cheap , I'd get it and use it.

I saw that Lennox! Wow! It sure is stunning! Amazing these white coach bags from the 80s can stay so clean ? You should get her..... I’m literally drooling !

:girlsigh: Still there . Still 5 Benjaminos.

Did you see the Berk style old school Dinky in rust?? I am not a fan of the original Dinky with that unfortunate dog leash clip attachment, but I would most certainly make an exception for that rust sweetie pie. I can smell pumpkin spice coffee and hear leaves rustling just looking at that.
We missed having a virtual Fall Festival, now that I think of it.

Well if I do, I promise to post and tag you! Please don't hold your breath
If you have the willpower to not get white... so should I.... I just don’t think I could get myself up actually use her if I do get the white bag..... I have a white Cassie with that strong pebbled Leather....nwts still..... as I’m afraid to get her dirty .... the vintage white coach glove tanner has to be the worst.... and paying over 100 for a 20 plus year old bag bugs me too

I did see that Dinky!

We'll have to make sure to do our Fall Festival this year! I was going to kick it off last year but something happened and I didn't have the motivation anymore.

I have read a lot of people here have new with tag syndrome! Iirc Whateve has said this and I agree, $100 to $125 is a reasonable price for a vintage bag from the 90's in like new to new condition. The problem for me is that I got spoiled a while bag by finding bags in very good condition for much less.
Now I can resist temptation mostly because I have a bag I bought from a factory outlet a few years ago, in Chalk, a Brooke Carryall and it had the processed, cross grain? grossgrain ? leather, that if it got a few drops of water, or even coffee, could be wiped off.
