Thanks - seller describes it as a darker brown. Here's the photo showing the inside colour.

I'm super happy about this, just hope I don't get bait and switched. Ol' Charlene traumatised me a little!
You'll have to wait until you get them. Maybe this one is mahogany and the other brown is BT, but it looks too dark for that. Maybe tabac.

It's sure not happening in the US. I'm watching CBS Sunday Morning right now and "Travel" is the theme, their lead story is the mad rush of Yanks to travel again. Just one day last week, if I heard correctly, there were 1.5 MILLION passengers logged through US airports. And planes are packed, no available seats and no open center seats like they had last year.

Too many thoughtless STUPID people led by and lied to by thoughtless STUPID politicians, current and former. I'm very much afraid that Covid is going to be around for a long time.
I agree, COVID-19 is going to be around for a long time. There is nothing close to herd immunity at this point. And if enough people choose not to get a vaccine, it won’t happen anytime soon.
Tens of millions have been vaccinated, and millions more have immunity through contracting covid. There honestly is no reason they should stay home.
I am fully immunized with Pfizer, which iirc, it is the CDC site that says it is 94% effective. So that means there is a small chance I could catch it. The real issue is the new variants. The immunity that people have from contracting COVID19 and the vaccinations is less effective for the new variants. The variants appear to have the ability to spread more efficiently than the original strains. So while I am not electing to go into a complete lock down, I am carefullly choosing my activities as the numbers in my state have only just returned to presurge numbers (which are by no means low) and are no where near flattened.
Okay, reading this took me away from authenticating Coach bags. Any other scientist/ virologist/ microbiologist/immunologist/ etc here on this conversation? I will try to post an easy to read post on how much scientists and what is known and information easy to read. @Hyacinth, do you have a background in science? I may need backup
I just go with Fauci. This man has spent his career in epidemiology/virology. He was established in his his career in the 80s as the AIDS crisis unfolded and was in the trenches. He understands the clinical and public health repercussions of the magnitude of this.
I was in graduate school with a concentration in human physiology at the time outside of NYC at the time. It was sobering enough then to watch that crisis unfold.

I completely get it. We are all tired of this, industries and people’s lives have been devastated and we all want our life back to what it was before this pandemic.
That does not change the fact this pathogen is still circulating amongst the general population and is highly contagious, lethal and not under control.

My thoughts EXACTLY. So far, Dr Fauci is batting 1.000. The only thing he's ever had to correct his opinions about was early in the pandemic when he told the public not to wear masks, and that was ONLY because there was a critical shortage of masks, especially the N95s, available for medical personnel, which he clearly said right along with his "no masks" statement. I watched that briefing and remember it well.

DH and I are still waiting for our first jabs, they're scheduled for this week but I'm not going to relax until we actually get both sets, since we got kicked in the butts last week when our appointments for the J&J jabs were cancelled on the morning our appointments were scheduled. We're both in our 70's and are in several other high-risk groups so we're being a lot more cautious than many others probably feel they need to be. With an almost-unknown disease it's just not worth taking chances.

The Washington Post reported on April 16 that we also need to prepare for the possibility of needing booster shots or even annual vaccinations every year because of all the possible variants. Usually the Post articles are behind a paywall so I'll just post the essentials:

"President *****’s chief science officer for covid-19 response, David Kessler, told a House subcommittee hearing Thursday that the United States should plan for booster shots in the future.
In remarks from an event earlier this month, but that were also released Thursday, Pfizer CEO Albert Bourla said that a “likely scenario” included the need for a third vaccine dose six to 12 months after inoculation, after which “there will be an annual revaccination.”
“But all of that needs to be confirmed. And again, the variants will play a key role,” he told CNBC’s Bertha Coombs during an event with CVS Health. “It is extremely important to suppress the pool of people that can be susceptible to the virus.”
Kessler, in remarks to the House select subcommittee on the coronavirus crisis, said that the ***** administration was “studying the durability of the antibody response” triggered by the vaccines.
“It seems strong but there is some waning of that, and no doubt the variants … they make these vaccines work harder,” he said. “So I think for planning purposes, planning purposes only, I think we should expect that we may have to boost.”

The indoor dining situation here in Illinois seems to change every month, and from the headlines we may have another "adjustment" coming in the near future so we're not even talking about going out to restaurants until we feel that it's safe. Luckily several of our regular spots have great outdoor dining areas which they're hoping to open some time in the next month or two, so we'll wait until we're both vaxxed and feel that the statistics indicate we should be OK.

Yes. No reason not to resume normal life if you have been vaccinated. Hope you had a great time!
Reason #1 - the vaccine helps prevent you from getting seriously ill and getting hospitalized if you contract COVID. It does not prevent you from getting COVID or being a carrier to pass COVID to others. So if you do get COVID now, you may not even notice it and if you care about others around you who have not been vaccinated, you should still wear the mask and socially distance.

Reason #2 - depending on the vaccine you get, it may not prevent you from getting serioulsy ill for all of the variants...especially the Brazilian one...

i think we can only get back to “normal” when the virus is literally no longer circulating in high numbers, ICU and hospital capacity is back to normal and everyone is fully vaccinated country by country around the world.

I know this is not ideal and this is hoping Covid does not mutate into worse forms than it currently is....

I WISH I knew vintage coach existed in the mid 2000s- I was so dumb wasting my money on the Madison collection... I could’ve had like 100 vintage coach bags by now lol.

For all the OG collectors, whats a deal from back in the day that you regret not grabbing?
Not OG, only started in November 2019, still regret some bags I didn’t buy. One is a Lavender color Ergo flap in excellent condition for $45 something, and a bodybag remake in bright 2 tone color at a low price ( can’t remember exactly but around $30 ) , I didn’t know anything about body bag then.
ETA: find a bodybag photo made in the 90’s online, never see a listing of it again.

I've seen this style, but never these colorful ones! Love that tiny one.

Same on not being OG! I started looking at vintage Coach in 2018 (though I didn't find TPF until spring 2019) and I regret not getting some bags back then; I was only buying bags that were $20 and under at the time, but there were a lot of great bags in the $40-$100 range. Courts and Reginas in different colors, the geometric shoulder bag that I'm still looking for now, Madison Gracies, and pastel bags that I stayed away from then but would love to have now. I remember seeing a handful of Hasp bags on Etsy that were around $100 and some Bonnie Cashin bags, too. I super regret not getting that Bonnie Cashin Attaché for $40 on eBay! Also a couple Winnies that I passed on that were under $100; there were 2 periwinkle ones that I had my eye on and I wish I had pulled the trigger on one! And a red one that was still pretty pricey, but about half the price of what I'm seeing now.

I wore my rust suspender bag for the first time last week since getting it last July.
Sure, it didn’t leave the car because I went to pick up curbside groceries but it did get carried from the house to the car and back again.

It was on the chopping block for a bit, but now I cannot let go of it again. Do you guys have any bags you know won’t get a lot of wear but keep in your collection for whatever reason it is? For me it’s this strange one, haha.

Lots of stuff on shopgoodwill I missed in the early days- before prices went nuts. A black Taft for what I thought was a ridiculous price- $40 lol! Several little ones, pocket purses etc that I thought were too small for me. Not so now! And the one I miss the most- a 1941 rogue that went for around 120 or so.

I miss the beat up bags just begging to be rehabbed that I turned my nose up at. I hope they all went to good homes.

These days even the crappy beat up Sig fabric bags go for crazy money on that platform. Bargains are still around, just harder to find. But thats the fun!!

Mine would be my red Post Pouch or my rust Pony. I just love to look at them but I won't carry them very often. Maybe once in a while or to a special occasion event but they're definitely not daily carry bags. One day I would like to carry my Pony into a Coach store and see if anyone recognizes it. Just for fun and for a reason to go.

I also really regret not getting the big "scrap lots" of coach bags on shopgoodwill way back when you could get 10-15 beat up bags for $50. I could have done lots of fun stuff with all that. Can't touch a scrap lot like that today for under a couple hundred or so.
