My search for the perfect everyday green bag is over! Meet my green Prairie and her contents, and let me praise her.
Like @LunaSilver I maybe prefer the shape of the Saddlery a tiny bit, but the function factor makes the Prairie a more useful bag for me. So many awesome features!
First, I really like that she reads as a round-ish bag, but there's a decent bit of straight-ish bottom where heavy rectangular objects (like phones) can reside without leaving unsightly dents in the curvature, something that has always put me off the Watson or the Mini Bag (@CPSE Is this a valid concern?)

Second, the front pocket is more of a compartment in its own right and offers a ton of space and organisation. I added an unsolicited WIMB because I feel like 50% of my posts are questions about the capacity of a certain style and I want to give back. The Prairie holds all the crap pictured and then some, and if I rearrange a little she could hold either a small umbrella, scarf, or pair of gloves as well. She fits almost as much as my Manor, and with the same magical packs-small-plays-big quality. Those of you who deem the Prairie too small for every day - what the kitchen sink are you carrying on a day-to-day basis?

Third, she's a joy to carry. She's pretty short side-to-side, so she doesn't stick out weird and gets in the way of my swinging arm (I usually wear my crossbodies in the front). She's rather fat front-to-back but doesn't really have any corners, just curves, so nothing gets in the way.

I have two gripes with her. Square D-rings. Why are they? It's all great for shoulder carry when everything hangs neat and parallel, but crossbody wear with square D-rings will put stress on the little strap loops over time. I hate them, lol.
Also, the Prairie was never made in Currant. What were they thinking.
The end! Here's my bag and contents.

Now I am really sorry I hesitated on the purple one.

I will start off saying that I usually carry my phone in my back pocket, and that the Mini Bag does NOT hold my iPhone 7+, but holds what I usually carry for quick errands: a small card wallet, some tissues, hand sanitizer, and my keys. The Watson is bigger and can fit the phone. I just tried and I don’t see dents but I think if my bag were floppier/softer I can see it definitely happening and/or if you completely stuff the bag with your things.

I love your enthusiastic, thorough and analytical reviews of bags!

Maybe my phone is just really heavy, but on some of my curvier bags I really just drop it in, nothing else added, and can definitely feel the corners poking the bottom panel. In the Chester I usually fill up the bottom with something else so the phone sits elevated to avoid this.
Now I'm off to google measurements of the iPhone 7+ to see if I need a Mini Bag in my life! I think it's supposed to be 7 by 6 inches, but from photos I can never tell if the larger distance is across or top-to-bottom.

Pretty! I don't know, I think I just like to have a bit of extra room just in case I want to cram something else in my bag so I feel like it's too cramped for my taste. I love the bag though!

what is the size comparison of the prairie and something like a Ramblers Legacy.
Its hard to guage the size in some photos
Here you go! The light is fading quickly, so here's an ugly lightened-up photo for you. Through some sort of devilry the Prairie holds a lot more, probably because the front compartment is an actual compartment that starts from the bottom. The Prairie stays at 3 inches throughout, the Rambler tapers from 3 to roughly 2 inches towards the top.

ETA I usually don't fill the Rambler's front pocket up to capacity because I don't like the look, so that might contribute to the difference in space.

Perfect...that gives me a great idea how it will work for me.
Well thats another one on my list....as long as its not Mahogany...Im getting tired of Mahogany I have so much of it.

Thanks!

I just measured. Larger distance is across 7 inches. My phone with the case is about 6.25 by 3 inches. So my phone does technically “fit” horizontally but it hangs up top because of the curvature, and you can see dents because it’s so tight fitting. Sorry I should’ve tried this with the Mini bag when I was putting my phone into my Watson to check for dents. I was just remembering when I first got the Mini bag and not being able to fit my phone in with everything else! I can see if you have a smaller phone it might work.

Can anyone help me? I ordered a regina bag today. It was an impulse purchase from a Canadian consignment website. All I could make of the creed was that it was made in Costa Rica so I don’t have a serial number to work with yet. I didn’t ask for a clearer creed pic cause I didn’t want it to sell while waiting for a reply. So now for the help I need- is this mocha or mahogany? Or a completely different colour than those?:

Most likely Mahogany.

Thanks, that's both very helpful and a total bummer, lol. My phone is roughly the same size. Let me go clear my watch list, or maybe add something to my watch list...a tiny flip phone the size of my thumb!
Man, the Mini Bag is so cute and I've wanted something with a tubular strap for a while. But I would always have to either carry my phone in hand or wear a jacket with phone-sized pockets. Booo.
