I just want a purple bag that’s all leather. I don’t want it to be shiny or mixed with fabric and it needs to be a real purple that’s not lilac or lavender, not maroon or mulberry, but a purple that’s grape or eggplant.

I’m getting fatigued from searching on resale websites and finding pale and reddish mixes.

Anyone have suggestions as to which styles came in a real, true purples? I know they are probably infrequent, but I hope they exist.
They do, but the problem with purple is that it was one of those colors that dosent age well. Most purples, that were once rich and dark, turn redish when exposed to the elements. Coach also made different "purples". Some more opaque and bluish others more translucent and redish.

So far I’ve seen these styles in purple: Station, Casey, Kimball, Sling, Ergo. I actually just saw a purple station earlier today that went in like 30 seconds after I saw it haha: https://www.ebay.com/itm/184254826235

Not sure if that’s the shade you want. Condition of the bag also vary. Others may chime in if they’ve seen other styles. I was lucky to find a purple sling ... but it also took a long time of looking. Purple is definitely rare but they are out there.

Because they are so hard to find is the reason I broke down and bought the new Originals royal purple flap bag from Nordies. I am never diligent or patient enough to find a vintage resale in purple.

Did someone here just buy this? I’ve never seen it. It’s like a Willis but rounded edges and not as round as a post pouch: https://www.ebay.com/itm/17425227305
(Edit: maybe I’m posting in the wrong thread)
I was so close! I clicked on it before it sold and by the time the page loaded it was gone. I am so bummed. Its a very rare style. I'm trying so very hard not to spend any money right now but that bag would have been worth it.

It's pretty rare. We think it's a Sherbourne but have never seen it in a catalog. I wonder where the seller got the name.
I wish I had been quicker to check out... I like it better than the Willis! I just googled the style number and a post from Hyacinth popped up about it with the name so maybe that’s where they got it.

Oh man, you and me both missed it! But I’ve never seen it before so I kept wondering is it fake, is it not fake? And the indecision made me miss it.

I'm so sorry for us! I bought a fake off of eBay once and the seller refused to return it. EBay forced the return and it was quick and painless. I tend to buy now, authenticate later these days. Only with ebay though.
