That crappy faded purple Station bag that I bought and returned is now for sale on Etsy for $399! The seller is using honest and clear photos but now I'm wondering if I should have kept the bag and tried to resell it for $400. Wow!!
Kind of remind me the vintage Coach listed for $5000 something on eBay. I guess seller asking price can be sky the limit, but need someone who lose his/her mind to buy it .lol..

Yeah, I guess the true value of an item is what buyers are willing to pay. I know purple bags are rare but the fading on that bag is soooo bad. $399 is pretty steep.

Does a seller choose a sky high price like that thinking they could get a serious offer for like $100, if $100 is what they expect it to go for anyway, or do they think they will get an offer of like $375? Even if I were willing to pay upwards of $100 or $150 for a rare color or style, I would never lowball that low on $400. So as a result I would look for another listing. I am not a seller so I just don't understand.

I don't know. I think she's one of those sellers that has the patience to wait for buyers willing to pay those prices. She has some really gorgeous, hard to find bags and honestly if I had the money I would buy several of them for the asking price.
