Vestiaire Collective experiences?

I hate their exchange rates as a seller! I’m based in Sweden and have prices in Swedish kronor when most of other European countries have euros. I set the prices according to “normal” exchange rates, but they are always shown a few percent higher in euros.
I'm also based in Sweden and have the same problem. It's quite a big difference and very annoying. I've tried explaining to some that they should try changing the currency to match mine but it seems that they don't get it or find it too complicated. Due to bad experiences with offers lately (I'm convinced VC is using bots) I now only use the fixed price option.

I try not to buy from vestiare collective anymore, it can be so stressful when things go wrong. Sellers who never ships, refunds that doesnt show up. Years ago they had customer service by phone, now only AI-chat which gives headache...

The ring I like is Still on VC, despite having appeared on other Auctioin houses and apparently having sold.

I’m scared to offere on it, having read all of the horror stories here, and wish I could forget about it, but nobody else seems to want to buy it..

I did Exactly that, naming the Auction house where the ring reputedly sold-I never received an answer..

However whenever I initially wrote expressing an interest she said she hoped I’d buy it-it’s a coloured diamond ring.

I would be very wary to move forward. If she didn’t bother to reply to you when you asked about the auction issue imagine what will happen if something goes wrong with the sale.

I’m shocked once again by Vestiarie’s so called “experts”!
I sold a bag back in November 2023. All went good, I got paid, no complaints from the buyer’s side. Now about a week ago I get an email from Vestiaire stating the following: “After the delivery of this item, unfortunately your buyer got in touch with us to report that it did not meet their expectations.” Shocked, I contact them and get to know that the buyer tried to list the bag for sale and Vestiaire’s “experts” deemed it fake according to the provided photos! So the buyer sent it to Vestiaire for an extra check.
And today I get an email saying that my sale got canceled: “Our team has inspected the item and concluded that the item does not meet the brand's standards.”
Are they for real???? I even sent them a screenshot of my purchase confirmation from LUISAVIAROMA while waiting for their “experts’” verdict! So either the buyer tried to sale a fake or their “experts” are completely incompetent!
Contacted them again. I’m beyond furious!

I also don’t understand why the buyer would be allowed to “relist” an item 8 months after purchase under my sale so that it’s ME who gets the damage (not financial in this case, since I’ve been already paid, but reputational), like it was me who sold a supposed fake???

Omg, it’s just getting funnier and funnier… Here’s the response I’ve got after requesting the reason of declaring the bag a “fake”:

The item was counterfeit, because

**Counterfeit**
----------
- Packaging not conforming to the brand: dustbag
- Non-quality materials: low-quality grained leather
- Typography not consistent with the era
- Metal parts not conforming
- Engravings with defects
- Typography non-conforming on the metal parts of the shoulder strap
- Shape of the clasp not conforming.

What “era” are they even talking about??? It’s a contemporary designer bag (under €1000), purchased just last year via LUISAVIAROMA!

This morning I looked up the ring I’ve been watching -it’s still for sale..your story makes me even more dubious about purchasing from VC..

But nobody else seems interested in it..I hope I don’t have a mad moment and offer on it in the middle of the night and live to regret it!

I just bought a vintage bag from VC and totally regret it now after seeing so many complaints about this company. I am so excited to get this Gucci vintage weekender bag and have been looking at the listing photos and noticed that the “made in tag” inside the bag just says: Gucci (and under that, it says) ITALY; in all caps (and no trademark stamp)!! It doesnt say made in Italy. Gucci always has their made in Italy NEVER in caps, it’s always in lower cases. It was sent to VC to be authenticated and just passed their “rigorous verification process”. I call BS on this! Now I feel scammed. I dont trust this is an authentic bag! And after reading all these authenticity complaints about VC I feel like a fool. They seem to only care about their money and dont seem to try to make things right. I wish I would have dont my research on this company before I bought this bag. I also used Klarna to pay for the bag. I wonder if I dont sign for it and It get shipped back to VC headquarters. Will my package eventually get shipped back to the customer and I get my money back.
