But also I think their description is definitely off for my item, because Very good condition should not have "slight material wear" because it would be just "Good" but not "Very good", you know what I mean? I am just still mad at them that I cannot prove anything to VC :(

Guys, I don't know what they take these huge buyer fees for... I bought a Chanel mini square flap and on the photos there was not much visible defects with it. Especially with turn lock. But when I received it, I could see that the gold plating come off a little. I asked for return, they accepted. And after they received it and they said they don't see any issue with it. I chatted with support and they said it is the same condition as described. So they re-listed it. I don't want to take it back because it is not the condition that I expected, however I am also worried that the person who will buy it will face the same issue. Just don't know what to do, maybe you guys could advise me something.

Attached screenshots of the video that I've sent to support.

There is a video I've sent them before sending it back
(it is more visible with the highest video quality, I believe I filmed it in 4k)
I feel like I got scammed by VC...

I'm sorry to hear about your experience  something similar happened to me too, I purchased a Chanel brooch with diamantes and one of the diamantes had actually fallen off, which wasn't mentioned in the description of the listing, and you couldn't tell at all that it had come off in the photos posted. I didn't even know what to do so I just lumped it and kept the item  I hope you find a solution with VC

You might expecting buying a used bag in condition as "New" or " Like new", frankly, the Chanel mini you bought and relisted, from pictures wise, even with the discoloration on the tip, I personally would consider it as like new, and it definitely fits as VC's "very good", I'm not working for VC by the way.

from my experience, even you buy "brand new" from Chanel store, there are bags have wear and some may have defacts too.

Thank you so much for sharing your experience 🙏 That sucks... I hope you never have such experience in future!
I just wish I had known somebody who works there, because there is a distance between company and clients. This is not like regular store when you could ask manager to explain something.
And currently behavior like call your manager is considered rude in the society but it also isn't cool when such stores make fun of you bc they know you cannot do anything to prove that you are right.

They have also new without tags, those are items that have absolutely no wear, if you are after that, they have to be pristine, but if their definition of very good allows slight wear as long as mentioned and shown, you buy the item as that

After years of buying (and selling) on VC I had my first bad experience.
I bought a designer bag, quality control was included in the price.
VC writes me saying that the bag has some marks that were not mentioned in the listing, after I get reassured that the marks are in the back of the bag I decided to go ahead with my order.
When the bag arrives, it looks good at first glance BUT some details are off, some sewing is really bad and not to be expected from this luxury brand so I’m very suspicious. Moreover the Rfid tag is missing.
Apart from that, there were other heavy marks on the leather that weren’t mentioned in the quality check.
I immediately decide to get a third party authentication, and the bag turns out to be a fake .
When I take the bag out of the dustbag to take other pics to send to VC for my claim, the handle was broken! And I never even carried it once!
VC customer care sent me the return label and today I was informed that my order was indeed cancelled and I will get full refund.
I’m glad it all turned well for me at the end, but now I don’t feel like buying from them again and I don’t trust their quality and authentication service. I will get a third party opinion before buying again.

wow, I'm glad you got refund! What is that Rfid tag? was that Rfid tag inside a LV bag?

It is like a smart label, stores all kinds of information.

I'm not sure what is going on with Vestiaire's quality control, I bought items where it had to go through it, literally had to as I'm in the UK and I bought from the US or Italy and some stuff they let through where I went "Sorry, but it says new with tags, why are there massive scratches on the hardware and the bottom?" another time they asked me if I want to go through with my purchase, it is not quite as described, all there was was that the dress was folded and you could see it was the crease from folding it. When I received the dress, it was actually in an even better condition than I expected, it was listed as very good and you could tell it had never been worn.

I put my account on holiday mode, as I acquired a stalker with apparently many many accounts, it was a buyer (turns out the owner of a shop) who returned a delicate bag in a thin paper bag where it rattled around and got bent out of shape, and then tried to keep the dust bag. I stayed with friends and changed my address to their address (had a tragic loss in the family and they offered me their guest room because everything at home reminded me) but left as the person was so out of order and the last thing I want to do is drag my friends in. I hadn't listed much and just put the box into the car, just in case. I honestly didn't expect this madness to happen, so I booked into a small hotel not far from them, and I think I will be consulting a lawyer, I had a brief call with the family lawyer who told me to keep all the documentation and see a GP, to document my physical state. I wanted to close the account immediately, but he said we might still need to access some information, so I put it on holiday mode.

Oh gosh so sorry to hear!

I am also in the middle of a terrible experience with Vestiaire (albeit no stalker).

I purchased a "good condition" Hermes bag with no major flaws in any photos or in the description. It passed quality control without mention of anything significant. When I received it, it had not one but TWO tears! I sent photos to Vestiaire and was granted a second inspection only to have my return denied! They claim that it matches the description and small tears are 'allowed' if something is described in 'good condition.' I'm flabbergasted honestly. I've opened a dispute through my credit card and now I just have to wait.

Has anyone disputed with Vestiaire via their credit card (American Express)? How did that go?

Actually, if you did pay with a credit card, I would dispute the claim and while good condition does allow flaws, the flaws have to be mentioned and shown and I do remember that they exclude tears, it is in their terms of service, since you said they are not mentioned or shown, I would dispute it on those grounds and the grounds that tears are excluded, let me pull up the terms of service of item description, but they seem to roll the dice most of the time.
I once did a charge back through my credit card company as the item was simply a fake, the item pictured was real, but what arrived was different (also passed their control for some odd reason) they did try to get me to stop it and promised that they would refund me, but I know they are notoriously bad with refunding and the customer service is hit and miss.
