Venting - TERRIBLE service at Saks Fifth Ave

I agreed. I had SA told me before at another high end store "that's why it's on sale."

Hmm, when I spoke to an SA at Saks she said they would not sell items that are damaged - imperfect, perhaps, but this was clearly damaged. She said they return to the sender to "be destroyed." Not sure if that was true or not.

I disagree. Unless the damage/imperfection is disclosed (which is probably more important for an online sale than an in-store sale where you can physically examine the item), I don't see why "sale" = "ok for damage." I certainly don't go to a store thinking that items on sale are there because they've been damaged.

ITA! :smile1:

I'll never order from Saks again.

I bought a pair of Tory Burch flats online on November 30, and sent them back for return. Saks shipped them back to me today, claiming they weren't in "saleable condition."

I wore these shoes in my house for maybe an hour. With socks. They don't smell like feet, and they don't have any scuffs. I have all the original packaging. I called customer service and they refused to send me a new UPS return label to send them back again, saying I would have to pay for the return myself, and Saks could still reject it if they want. Mind you, all holiday returns have to be processed by January 15.

Now I have to drive over an hour to the only Saks in my state (MD) and *hope* that a live SA will refund my money. Buyer beware.

Did the leather "wrinkle" when you wore them in the house? I have a paid of python shoes and they wrinkled when I tried them on in the store. Maybe it was something lie that?

The shoes were suede so, no, there was no wrinkling. There was no reason for Saks to send them back to me, other than just choosing to be awful. I did end up driving an hour, paid for parking, and got them returned in person. Too much hassle. Especially when I have a Nordstrom near me with excellent customer service.

I received my Saks First gift card in the mail today and it was MUCH lower than in previous years. One reason that it's lower is because they are distributing the cards in $25 increments. However, they are rounding DOWN. For example, if you earned 9,800 points, instead of getting a $98 gift card like in previous years, you will get $75. There are a few other issues that I have with the way that my points are being calculated and the lack of transparency about the points. I just got off the phone with a representative and that was just a frustrating experience. I guess I'll be sticking to my AmEx from now on.

Mine has always been issued in $25 increments. So if you don't hit the next one, you lose those points.

This means every December I have to watch some spending and use that for more everyday purchases to ensure I don't miss out on say $23 i earned because I didn't hit the even $25.

Sorry it happened to you, but its not a new thing.

My gift card last year was $322... I am looking at the card it came on now. In the past, you had to take them in $25 increments if you wanted to redeem them during the year. I have always waited until they sent it to me, so it's always been a random number.

I just want to share how disappointed I am with Saks customer service. I bought a bag at AUD3638.70 to be shipped to Australia. It doesn't come in its original packaging nor dust bag and it is defective. It's disappointing that they don't bother to check the bag and pack it well before shipping it.

They permitted a return so I shipped the bag back immediately. It took only 3 days for it to go from Australia and back to USA. I have the tracking details which states that it was delivered to them and was signed for.

It's been 2 weeks since they have received my return, I've contacted them multiple times but they told me that they have not receive my return and nothing is in process. The customer service staff have very generic responses and are not helpful at all.

I am appalled by the way they do business and is considering doing a credit card chargeback at this moment to get my money back.

Just want everyone to be aware before you shop at Saks.

I dont know how they are still in business actually. I just recently purchased a pair of Tom Ford sunglasses with the friends and family discount. Would you believe they arrived with FOOD caked to the lenses and makeup on the frames?? Since they were my HG sunnies, I washed them to see if they had any damage, and they did not so I kept them. But SHEEESH the gall to send out something in that condition to a customer! Never again will I buy from them.
