Hi! New owner of a VCA vintage Alhambra Guilloche necklace. Anyone have any advice on how to stack it with other necklaces? Ie chain length? What do you like to stack yours with?
:smile:Congrats!!!
WG or YG? Pendant or 10, 20 Motif?

I recently stacked my 10 YG Guilloché with my 10 Blue Agate.
I’ve also stacked my Pave YG VA Pendant with my 10 YG Guilloché.

I think you can stack it with anything in the same metal color!

So... Toronto peeps... let me know what you think...
A beautiful VCA flagship boutique just opened up on Bloor...
I don't know if I am the only one in this predicament as I have built up my profile with VCA in Birks (since I live downtown) even after the boutique opened at Yorkdale... I didn't think much of it since I have always had great service with my SA and Yorkdale is just too far for me... I am definitely not a VVIP/VIP but I guess since I am always on the list for holiday pendants, my profile isn't too shabby...
Now... I suspect Birks will be closing their Toronto VCA "store" in the near future (same thing happened in Vancouver a few years ago after VCA opened up their standalone store).
I am devastated that I have to start from 0 with VCA...
Anyway... just a bit disheartening after years of purchase... now having to rebuild a purchase history.... sigh...

Thanks for "listening"... rant over...

Did you ask at the Bloor VCA if they would merge your Birks profile?

I am in the same predicament. Been buying from Birks since 2014 when VCA stand-alone was non-existent. Do you think they will close Birks location? I hope not

I suspect they will :(
The new Bloor VCA is too close to Birks VCA...

"What’s interesting is Van Cleef & Arpels already has a ‘door’ on Toronto’s Bloor Street — The Birks jewellery store at Manulife Centre has a separated Van Cleef & Arpels boutique with entrances from within Birks as well as from Bloor Street itself. The distance between Birks’ boutique and the leased standalone Van Cleef & Arpels at 100 Bloor is about 145 metres or 475 feet — so it’s unlikely that the Birks Van Cleef & Arpels boutique will continue to operate where it is once the standalone corporate store opens nearby.
It’s a major blow to the Birks store to lose its top brand, though it also presents the opportunity to open a new boutique presence for another jewellery brand at Birks on Bloor Street in Toronto. Birks operates boutiques with doors onto the street in Vancouver including Graff Diamonds and Patek Philippe (pricey watches) and one of these could replace the Toronto Birks Van Cleef space."

Thanks. It’s a bummer coz I like the option of using birks card for the bigger purchases.

One time I took a piece to Yorkdale VCA for repair, I asked Yorkdale VCA if they had access to/can see my Birks profile. They said no.
So I doubt Bloor VCA can see/merge my Birks profile...
I hope I am wrong... If anyone has tried and was successful, please let me know.
This has come up before with Neiman Marcus customers shopping at the VCA boutique inside that store. I cannot recall whether they could merge their profiles. Perhaps @nicole0612 can speak to it?

Unfortunately no, they could not merge the profiles. With original documentation/receipts they can add the items to your purchase history, but it does not count towards purchase history spend for special orders and such. I'm not sure what it is for, perhaps just documentation in case a piece needs repair in the future, to make the process go more smoothly. This is for Neiman Marcus and VCA stand alone in the USA.

My SA recently went to a NM. I was hesitant to purchase from NM, but she reassured me everything will remain under one profile.

This might be a recent change? New purchases are under one system, but previous purchases cannot be merged?

My DH purchased something for me under his name…I was told they would count that purchase towards a SO, once I qualify.
