@marbella8 thank you for the response. Very interesting to hear you did not care for the turquoise. I did return the BA 20 motif. I have solid gold 10 motif so leaning towards the YG MOP.

My pleasure. I tried both and even at the original prices, I wouldn’t have probably purchased them, forget the markups. I do have the single motif and love it. I think the all stone Alhambras in the medium to darker colors are harder to pull off because they are not neutrals, and I so wanted to make the 10-motif turquoise work, since I love turquoise and wear a lot of it, every day. Turquoise is easy with my outfits, but somehow the VCA one didn’t work for me.

I’m glad you returned the blue agate. There’s no sense keeping something at that price that doesn’t make you want to wear it. I think the MOP is such a neutral, you’ll get a lot of use out of it, and the 20 is easy to take on and off when you shower in terms of the MOP. Good luck

I think it was a limited run. They did a 20 motif necklace and a bracelet, not sure what else. I got them maybe a year and a half ago but I had to specifically ask for it (after a large purchase now that I recall) and they had to search to get it for me - there were very few left. I’m not sure if you can SO it, but definitely ask! My mom tried to get one not long after me and they said you could anymore so I’m not sure. She didn’t ask about a special order however. Yours don't appear to fit too big though, but I'm basing it from where it falls at your wrist/hand. Many people prefer the 2 fingers gap for their VCA bracelets. I think the tightest one can do that's still comfortable is 1 finger gap. How does yours fit currently with 4 links removed?

Oh yeah it looks good to me the way it is right now. But other members may prefer theirs to be a smudge tighter or looser, just a matter of preference. If symmetry matters to you, like you said, 6 links with give you uneven links between the motifs, although not that noticeable on the wrist unless you stare at it...8 links may be too tight, at 15 cm if you want to try it with a measure tape around your wrist to see how it fit. But seems like you're between 4 links vs 6 links, you'll just gotta decide what you rather deal with, a slight looser fit vs uneven links.

So I think I am just giving up on VCA. I have wanted a pair of magic YG MOP earrings- stopped by 5 Ave boutique a year ago, none available, offered to pay in full, told no need can leave a deposit and we will call you. Crickets. Visit store periodically, nothing. Ended up randomly finding vintage size on a trip in Boston but not the same. Tell SA I would love magic hammered YG earrings, repeat story. A year later I have zero earrings from her and just went today to ask for my deposit back. Now she finds my number. ????

Perhaps the mistake is that SA is high jewelry expert? Although I would have thought she would have better access to stuff. I might have grown into a HJ client if they would sell me something

It all depends on how you like to wear your bracelets. No right or wrong way. Some like lots of movement and others don’t. Do what feels good for you.

Something to think about is if you can put the bracelet on easily by yourself. That would be my number one criteria.

There is nothing worse to me than having to depend on someone to dress. It makes me want to wear the item less.

It all depends on how you like to wear your bracelets. No right or wrong way. Some like lots of movement and others don’t. Do what feels good for you.

It would be too tight for me, but I like looser bracelets.

I know I definitely wouldn't want it any looser, it would go too far up my arm.

I can put it on myself...I think if it were any tighter I wouldn't. I wouldn't have thought of that as a criteria though, great advice!

Let’s talk… Alhambra rings!! After “shopping my closet,” I realized I have a need for a good VCA ring. Here is my collection:

1. YG MOP Pendant
2. YG MOP 5 motif bracelet
3. YG Blue Agate Magic Pendant
4. YG Blue Agate 5 motif
5. YG TE 5 motif
6. RG Rabbit clip in TE/MOP
7. WG 2022 Holiday Pendant

I kind of want a between the finger ring, since it’s so uniquely VCA, so here are my options and I would like to think this through before I contact my SA, so I don’t make any impulse decisions. Any thoughts/suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!! :

WG in GMOP and WMOP
- different and would match my holiday pendant (but nothing else). I really like how it looks and I don’t have any WG pieces except for my holiday pendant.

YG in Onyx and GMOP
- it’s in YG, but wouldn’t necessarily be matchy-matchy… I can wear this with my other pendants, though, like Cartier d’amours or Tiffany smile, so it wouldn’t be VCA overload…

YG in MOP
- I already have a pendant and 5 motif in MOP, so would this be too much YG MOP? It would be easy to match with my pendant or bracelet, and maybe even my rabbit clip, but if I get this, I would not wear all my YG MOP pieces at once.
