I had a piece adjusted at a vca and when it arrived at the store it was crooked. The Sa was very sweet and immediately said they will redo it but yeah I was shocked it came in like that.

That's not good. I'll have to double check mine when I get home, but I'm pretty sure they extended mine evenly.I never thought about it until now, but I am a little disappointed that when they extended my Vintage Alhambra pendant, instead of adding the links evenly on either side of the pendant, they just added the additional 10cm on one side of the pendant, which means that if I'm wearing the necklace on bare skin, it has a tendency to skew in one direction, despite the weight of the motif.
Wait, maybe I was mistaken, now that I’m looking at it again? That's not good. I'll have to double check mine when I get home, but I'm pretty sure they extended mine evenly.
Well that's a relief. At least you were graced with a jump ring along with the extension!Wait, maybe I was mistaken, now that I’m looking at it again?
I might have visually confused myself because of the additional jump ring at 16 inches.
Ignore me, clearly the synapses are misfiring today…

Indeed - although I guess I still don't have an explanation for why the pendant keeps skewing when it's worn on bare skin. Maybe I have a defective neck... No returns policy on that I'm afraid!Well that's a relief. At least you were graced with a jump ring along with the extension!
I had my bracelet shortened by 4 links (one set between each motif) about a year ago, and it fit so much better than the original way. I have another bracelet to shorten, but now I'm second guessing if I took enough links out the first time. I know it's all subjective, but does it look too big?

Thanks! That's how mines look and it's very comfortable imo. Granted, I took out 8 links and that's the shortest (15cm) they can do before charging me a fee. I wouldn't want it to be any more snug though especially in the summer months.
Yours don't appear to fit too big though, but I'm basing it from where it falls at your wrist/hand. Many people prefer the 2 fingers gap for their VCA bracelets. I think the tightest one can do that's still comfortable is 1 finger gap. How does yours fit currently with 4 links removed? Thanks!
I don't think I'd be able to get to 8, and doing 6 would bother my symmetry loving brain (though obviously the bracelet fitting is more important). But I'm so used to having my bracelets fit too big and wanted to make sure the 4 wasn't too big before having the other done.
@marbella8 thank you for the response. Very interesting to hear you did not care for the turquoise. I did return the BA 20 motif. I have solid gold 10 motif so leaning towards the YG MOP.@Buddysmom I agree there’s something about blue agate and its translucence and I think the tone of blue that doesn’t sing to me either. Like @BigAkoya, I love turquoise and thought I’d love the turquoise, and was able to try the 10-motif and 20 motif (this one recently at a resellers), and found both repetitive and for someone who wears turquoise all the time, the repetitive nature of the color one after another, identical with nothing different in between was not appealing. I also found it clashed with outfits.
I’m sorry to also recommend you return the BA, and maybe go with another stone, or even all gold or an alternating piece. I’m a big fan of the 10 or 20 motifs that are alternating, because I personally find the stone-10/20s too repetitive, but if you want to go with all stone, I think @BigAkoya’s recommendation is perfect, as the MOP is like a strand of pearls, a perfect neutral that will go with anything. Good luck!!!
When I put it between my wrist bone and my hand I can fit my middle and index finger with a little wiggle room.Yours don't appear to fit too big though, but I'm basing it from where it falls at your wrist/hand.
