I would get the earrings because they are difficult to get whereas the pendant is usually available. I have both and wear the earrings more often than the pendant.
Extremely lucky and successful trip at vendôme today! ordered the porcelain earrings in July ‘22. The others happened to be in stock

Ive now tried on all of the butterfly pendants but the yellow sapphire.
The pink one (my favorite on the tray) disappears completely on my skin (i have a rosey complexion). You would barely notice me wearing it other than the shine of the chain and sapphires. I love the ring version of it though because you also have the wg to add a bit of pop.
I felt like with the yg the outline of the actual butterfly is better defined due to the contrast between yellow gold and bright white diamonds, but for me wg added more variety in my collection. I also just liked it more. It can be dressed up or down, and goes with my wg guilloché bracelet/wg sweet clover ring/the new bangle too! Ever since the wg guilloche and holiday pendant came out I have been in a white gold mood. Maybe it’s winter, maybe it’s the inspiration of @BigAkoya and @EpiFanatic (wg queens!) or maybe it’s just a vca addiction
I think, however, if they made it in diamonds and rose gold that would have been my favorite as that gold looks the best on my skin!
On another note, the MOP and turquoise ones to me are much more casual. They’re very beautiful (i own both) and the turquoise is surprisingly versatile with casual clothing. If you want I can try those on once I am back home too.
You see more stone with turquoise and mop than shine. I will say I almost do prefer the stone ring options vs the sapphire/diamond ones because of that massive contrast between the diamonds and the colorful (lapis/turquoise) or iridescent (mop) stones.
If you can’t tell already, I’m a massive fan of the butterfly collection. I think it’s my favorite because it’s only a IYKYK piece compared to alhambra and despite my embarrassingly large VCA collection I do like to keep a low key.

Thank you! I fell in love with them two summers ago but decided just to get the matching pendant and bracelet instead. However, i kept falling more in love with those pieces (esp bracelet) and thus had to get the matching earrings. They’re both dark blue and black and even have moments of a more bright lapis blue too depending on the lighting… a true chameleon.

I personally wear pendants every day but not earrings (other than studs). But the pendants are definitely easier to find than the necklace. You could also get the earrings and another Yg pendant (frivole, butterfly, perlee, non vca) depending on if you want to be super matchy-matchy or not.
I would get what you feel you would wear more frequently. Even if they’re harder to get you still will be able to get the earrings at some point. However, the earrings do cost more and would be subject to a higher cost difference if there is another price increase, so if you really do plan on getting all three that’s another thing to consider.

They’re a total mélange of pieces but in my collection as a whole they fit beautifully.
