Also curious about this. I ordered a 5 motif guilloche bracelet and was quoted 5 months but paid in full so I’m assuming I’m locked in at the current price.
Yes; I have purchased multiple pieces that I’ve taken anywhere up to 1.5 years to come in after prepayment in full, wirh price increases in the meantime (about ~10 times). The only time I have had to pay any additional amount was when the wait was 1.5 years and my local sales tax had increased since my purchase date. I just had to pay the difference in sales tax rate.
I recently had a different experience with my Secret Watch Pendant @nicole0612 , @forgetmenot301, @Oceansparkle. I paid in full when I ordered it in March 2024 and was told there would be a price change with last year’s price increase. It was almost 20%. Ouch! At the time I thought it was because the piece hadn’t been produced yet and thus did not have it’s own serial number. Reading your experience @nicole0612 I am not so sure.
I would have certainly questioned this. I have prepaid for many items that were not created yet and the old price was locked in. This has been for USA, UK and Middle East markets. We know that the one thing that is “consistent” with VCA is that their policies always seem to vary, so maybe it is specific to watches?
Oh, I did question it. I asked that the boutique raise it with VCA Corporate but to no avail. Since I also had an SO in production (10-motif necklace) I asked if the price increase would impact that. Yes, it would. However, the boutique agreed to absorb the increase for that one piece. I did appreciate that.
That is amazing. I have never had to pay more for any SO so far, and there have been times when there have been 2 price increases since I paid for the SO! This is a regular cooperate VCA boutique?

Some for sure had in USA I saw comments on this thread in may 2024. But I didn’t experience that (Europe) when I bought le Noeud ring the day before PI. I wonder if that’s a country rule or a client depending decision. I remember that on the iPad I saw the buttons « keep the old price » and another button so I think any boutique could decide to apply new price or old one.

I remember those comments too - there were people who paid in full and were told it would be new price when they collected. I think perhaps they were caught up in the few days prior to the PI but after the announcement? (as I was). @MomMomx3 paid 2 full months prior to the PI!
