Thank you, yes I did last week fly in to Vancouver for the day to visit Cartier and VCA (my 11 year old son told me I was insane, lol). I started a thread about it but it got merged into the Cartier Love Sizing thread. Unfortunately VCA did not have many creations in the boutique but Cartier had everything - I tried on the 16 and 17 pave Love and sm pave Love as well as Etincelle, Clash, JUC, it was a lot of fun! The pave Love is gorgeous irl and I think the 16 will be okay, but I do have some concern about wearing it for a couple weeks and then feeling it is too snug on my 14.5 cm wrist. My classic Love 16 has been perfect for 11 years sizing wise but as you know the Pave feels slightly smaller on the wrist. I think the 17 is too large and I would be less happy to exchange in that scenario but as Returns are not allowed over 50K the Exchange would be it once purchased. Sorry for the recap everyone - you have all been so lovely giving advice and listening to my (in)decision making process haha.

Sleepydoc,

The pave love is GORGEOUS on you! I think you should get the same size as your current love. It’s not perfectly flush against your current love due to width difference but I think it’ll fit better than sizing up. I know I told you I wear my pave love just on the weekends a few months ago. Well now, I wear it daily :) Can I ask where you purchased the thin half diamond bracelet? It stacks well with the regular love and pave love. Happy shopping!

I think it’s the Etincelle??? And agree - they both look fantastic on you!

Thank you @ehy210 for your opinion! I love hearing that you are wearing yours daily:amuse: And yes @alohaina is correct re: Etincelle. It isn't mine (yet, lol). I tried it on between the 2 Loves to give them a spacer given the width difference for pave vs classic. Thinking either that or VCA Perlee D'or but unable to try the D'or at VCA Vancouver boutique :annoyed: For Etincelle I guess one is supposed to size down from Love sizing (?) so that is why this Etincelle sticks out more than even the pave. It was a 16, I should have tried 15.

@alohaina your hiking location made me wonder if you live close by...near the Rockies??

Yes!!! Are we neighbors? The hike was St Mary’s Glacier!

I wish we had a VCA here

How did I miss these photos! Love them. I love seeing the pave Love next to the 3-row Perlee. It’s a nice comparison. Which do you prefer or can you give a comparison/your thoughts on each? I think the Pave Love is spectacular.

Also, I have to ask the color on the Birkin, is it Menthe Swift? It is gorgeous, gorgeous
Thanks so much!
Hmmm 3 row perlee vs pave love… I got the perlee first and while I really liked it, I had to think it over a bit before I decided to buy it. I definitely grew to love it more after wearing it over time. It‘s a softer more elegant piece, and fairly understated (in my opinion) despite the bling.
The moment I tried on the YG pave love I wanted it (I actually also have the pave in WG, which was love at first sight as well). It just has this presence and personality.
I think the perlee is great to add to almost any other bangle(s) and can elevate the look. With the love it would usually be the star, or co-star when worn with another substantial piece.

And yes, the B is menthe swift

Can excessive necklacing detract from my turkey neck?

2 20s and a 10

I resemble that remark. We are twins in that way. We’ve earned our age through raising our children, and going through life with enthusiasm, dignity, and a tolerance for chaos.
And I agree, a boatload of VCA does work to distract. Your look is beautiful and whimsical and fun!

Thanks so much for such a thorough reply. I feel the same about the pave Love. It has so much presence, and edgy at the same time, I love that the screws are metal while the rest is pave, which is makes it edgy.

and Menthe especially in Swift is my favorite-H green. I thought Pelouse was it, but then they came out with Menthe and it is so gorgeous!

Hahahah!

I have a whole string of pics living in my head that are making me laugh about habits to extend my long term quality of life

I saw an instagram post yesterday about incorporating exercises that replicate motions you want to maintain

For me it was the Birkin lift, VCA weight on my neck, doing that darn little frivole earring pousse….

Other than jewelry and handbags, my largest expense is private strength training. I will give up jewelry and handbags, but training I will not give up. It’s the quality of life and movement.

I visited DD recently. She is an Emergency Medicine Internal Medicine Resident at a major Level 1 Trauma and Safety Net hospital in the US, and she said DH and I are doing great (mobility-wise) for persons our age.

So for exercises, squat, deadlift, and bench press are great places to start.
