Does anyone own the Serie S? I'm obsessed and was about to purchase on Net-a-Porter, when I saw the weight of the bag is 3.3 pounds. Is that correct? That seems heavy for such a small bag.

Can’t help on the weight issue... I don’t own one. But does sound oddly high. I too love the Series S. My dream bag if I could afford anything. The perfect combination of classy and casual, modern yet timeless, very practical and functional.

Did you already compared them? Everybody mentioned how light the bags are, so I thought that 3.3 pounds must have been a typo.
Yes, I did. The Valextra website says roughly 1.7 pounds if I did the conversion from kgs correctly. That sounds more realistic than what Net-a-porter is showing. I decided to order the bag so when it arrives I'll try and remember to post about the weight.

That sounds a lot more plausible indeed. If you can include a picture of the bag, when it arrives, that would be great too. I hope it arrives soon.

Did you decide to purchase? The more I use my SerieS, the more I love it. I said no more bags this year after this purchase but an Iside in oyster is really calling me!

No I didn't. I just find it to be too similar to my black box Kelly 28 with GHW in terms of shape. But my Kelly is retourne, not sellier. I also recently got my holy grail Birkin 30 back over the weekend from months of spa after I purchased it back in October and I have been enjoying that instead as it feels like a new bag to me.

If anything, I think the Iside MM would be similar to a Kelly 25 sellier in black epsom with GHW. That's how I see it anyway.

Let me know if you end up going for it and if you happy with the purchase!

The Oyster colour is gorgeous! Does anyone know if you can buy a thicker strap for the Iside?
No, the Iside only comes with a narrow strap because of how it fastens to the body of the bag in a very cool way. There is a metal bit on the end of the strap that clicks invisibly into a metal clasp on the body of the bag. The overall look is one of chic, architectural simplicity. No unsightly, clunky d-rings.
If you want a Valextra bag with a wider strap, there is the Serie S or the Twist top handle bag. I think the Serie S comes in Oyster, but you’d have to check the website.
