I bought some Valentino rock stud sandals while on holidays overseas now I'm back home I'm wondering has anyone had another thin sole added to the bottom of these or just left them as is ???

This has been such a helpful thread, have been debating whether to vibram my new Valentino Rockstuds. I’m still not sure due to the light colour of the soles against black vibram it’ll be too obvious, then again we do have some much cobblestone streets here the shoes won’t survive!

I really wish id seen this before last night  i just bought the kitten heel in the matte black and nude leather ankle strap..i knew i should have protected the sole before the first wear but i didnt realise quite how fragile they are! my friend who was a fashion intern said they put masking tape on the bottom of shoes when they do shows so they can give them back to the designer unharmed..but the combination of a wet ground/sticky floor last night meant the tape merged into the sole, i tried to scrub it off but the damage is done, i cant look at them until its sorted!! can you go into cobbler and actually request vibram sole? i asked about the toe tips but it seems quite expensive here in UK..£14.95 thats like $18?!

Sydney drop off/ pick up cobbler!!

Hi everyone  I have a pair of rockstud heels and just wondering if anyone can share tips to care for the shoes. I keep them stuffed and wipe it down after use. Also will get a base of the heel done but the cobbler recommended me to wear it in longer since they have to sand it down in order to glue a protective base on. Also read tips recommendations shall do that too! Also got some collonil spray to 'waterproof' it . I have some wear on the back of the heel which is a common issue just wondering what I can do to prevent it from getting worse? Also I have some watermark stains on the clasp , don't even remember when I get water on them unless it is when I wipe it down? Anyone has that too? Thank you very much

I posted above a while ago with the metallic block heels! They sure did get wrecked! I brought them to a local cobbler and he said he couldn’t do anything because they’re metallic! So I have no idea what to do now. I don’t even want to wear them because they are so scruffed up.

Update, I spoke with Valentino customer service. They told me either take them into a local boutique (I have one close by) or send them in and they will decide what can be done. I’m planning on doing it this weekend. Hopefully I get a solution!

Hi all, just purchased my first pair of Valentino's! Got the Poudre patent leather kitten heels! Soooo pretty!
Just looking for tips to care for them before I take them out for the first time.

Currently getting topys and will spray with leather protectant bit what about the wear on the back of the heel? Anything I can do about that?

Hi everyone,
I’m new to rockstuds (and luxury shoes in general) and have my eye on a pair of black rockstud flat sandals. However I’ve heard so much about how fragile the leather is on here and also on YouTube.

Does anyone on here own these sandals and can comment on their durability? If I bought a pair they’d be worn quite often during the summer, so I’d like them to withstand general use.
