Hi ladies, it sometimes rain during the afternoon when i get off from the office and i want to protect my new black leather kitten heels from getting soiled. Do you have a suggestion on how to water proof the leather? Can i just buy any water repellant spray for leather? Or you suggest to bring it to a bag Spa for that (what do they do differently there for water proofing)? Thanks ladies!

Hi Ladies,

I just got my first ever Valentino rockstud shoes during my recent trip to NYC! I'm so excitedddd! [emoji16] I got them shipped so still waiting for them to arrive. I really want to take good care of them. Should I take them to a cobbler to get sole protector? Is there any special term to use so the cobbler knows what I'm talking about lol or any specific shoe protectors for Valentinos? Please advise! Thanks in advance :)

First of all, congratulations!!!! Which ones did you get?

You might want to add tips to the front of the shoes, so as not to mess up the pointy toes. It really does help to avoid the damage, especially with the non-patent shoes. I have not added sole protectors to any of my rockstuds, but it is just a personal preference.

Thanks! I got the nude ones. I'll post pics once I get them [emoji16] what do you mean tips? What kind of material are those tips?

Congrats very exciting getting your first pair ! I have one also but want another pair very soon ! My cobbler didn't do tips so he put extra sole on bottoms half way anyway. Should last awhile with those he did a great job . I would definitely look at getting tips or another sole on top done but go to a good place . I had worn mine out once before I got them done and the area under the tip of shoe was already wearing

Thanks for the tip! Will definitely try to look for a good cobbler around my area.

Are the thick plastic tips better than the metal ones?

Don't they stick out too much? The metal ones I've seen are almost flush with the sole, while the black plastic ones stick out. They didn't stay on when I tried to glue one on temporarily, because the sides of the tip of the sole are curved, while the surface of the plastic tip is flat.
