is it true that valentino rockstud is relly easyly broken?

I've had my caged flats for about a year and a half and my 100mm heels for a year and I haven't had any issues. My heels are by far my most worn pair of shoes. I know some people have had trouble with straps breaking, but I don't think that is normal.

Same problem. Glad to know I am not the only one!

I own a pair of Alpaca leather kitten heels and the ankle strap is only slightly loose. Got a pair of black patent kitten heels of the same size but the ankle strap seems looser! Now it looks a bit funny. I can't really size down because the size fits and it feels really comfy.

Please see the pictures and let me know if they look okay.

That's how mine look too! You probably can't tell so much from afar. It's probably just us being self conscious.

does anyone have flats rockstud like below (or any other colors) in either 37.5 or 38 and is able to measure insole? i am not sure what size to get :-( we had an insole spreadsheet for louboutin... not sure if such thing exists for valentino? :-)

Does anybody have a male friend who owns rockrunners/low tops? Am planning to get a pair for my boyfriend but don't know what size to get..

He's usually a size:
12 in Nike/Adidas
11US/44EU in Tods/Ferragamo
10.5 in Gucci/Prada (because these brands usually run a size larger than usual)

But to be safe, his general size is around a 11-11.5 US.

I missed the Rockstud wedge awhile ago and it is coming back this season, so I am really excited. A question about the sizing: I have short but wide feet; my size is between 35 and 35.5. I have two pairs of kitten heels in size 35.5. They are slightly wider and longer but comfy. Should I go for size 35 for the patent wedge? The overhang in wedges would drive me crazy.

Hi Ladies,
Need your expert opinion, please! I have my eye on my first pair of 100mm rockstuds (:woohoo:) and am unsure whether or not to purchase a 36.5 or 37. I will be purchasing from either eBay or Tradesy and they are final sale, so not returnable, unfortunately. I have a wide foot in the front but normal-petite heel, so usually size up in closed toe pointy pumps in Choos, CLs, and Manolos but stay TTS in open-toes. I've tried on in the store and while the front of my foot feels way more comfy in the 37, I have a little room in the back and the straps are a little loose. Should I stay TTS and try to have the 36.5 professionally stretched or size up to 37 and put in an insert? I hate when shoes look too big but if they end up feeling too tight I won't wear them. HELP!

TIA :smile1:

I'd go with 37 and something like a footpetal or insert, plus adding another hole to strap if needed. if its patent, stretching may not be so successful.

Thank you :) I guessed I should have mentioned that the pair I'm interested in is regular leather, not patent. Still think I should go with the 37?

Yes, based on your description of trying the 37 in store and feeling more comfy in front...that's important as high heels put pressure in front most.

Even reg leather, I'm a bigger fan padding shoes that are s little big in back vs taking chance the stretching doesn't come out right.

Does anyone have a pair like these? I came across a pair at an amazing price from an online retailer. They are 39.5, and I usually wear 9.5 in midrange brands, but can do 9 sometimes. Any chance they could fit? Any help is greatly appreciated! Thanks! :smile1:

If they're easy to return then you can always order and see how they fit. I'm usually a 40 in most brands but in Valentino I have 40.5-41.5 depending on style. I've never tried the ones in picture though.

Hey everyone! I am about to purchase my first pair soon (either at a Valentino store or Grieder) and I have no Idea what to do about the size.

My feet are 38.5/39 in length but they're wide. I always buy shoes in 40 (I live in Europe so I only use this sizing system) but once they're broken in they are too large! I tried 39 from the beginning in some shoes, but depending on what pair the breaking in takes so long that it is unbearable :(. The last time I bought a 39 (leather boots, ca. 4 of heels) it took so long but in the end they were too large as well.

I don't know if it because of the quality or the strange form of my feet.

What should I buy? I will get the Rockstud with either kitten or normal heels.

SA at the Valentino Boutique could help me but I do not know about other stores.

I think they run a little smaller than other European brands so I would get at least a half size bigger or whole size bigger. You can always put a pad in if its too big but if too small then there isn't much you can do

I would perhaps try to get insole measurements- I do not wear my RS a half size/full size larger. I wear mine true to size. I do believe many people do go up a 1/2 size, but I'd want to be sure, especially if you cannot try on or return them.
