AAAACK! It looks gorgeous on you!!! You're not making this easier!! LOL.

haha, thanks!

It looks great, especially with that outfit!

I was just thinking, when I start using my Borough it'll be nice and light and perfect for spring. If I consistently use it, maybe by fall it would develop a nice light patina....transitioning with the seasons!

thank you - and what a great thought! it's the perfect bag from transitioning from spring to fall.

Thanks for posting more pix! I love the longer strap! Great color for spring! Congrats again! :D

thank you!

Pretty bag but I would be absolutely terrified to carry an all Vachetta bag, does it scare you at all?

thanks! it's a little scary - i mean, it's a light color bag, and i do like it when my bags are new/like new and don't look run down. at the same time, the nice thing about vachetta is that it's supposed to age and get character from its owner. so in that sense, it's not as scary - it's really cool that i can make it my own and that it'll age along with me :)

Does this purse fit a macbook air or a 13" macbook? Or A4-sized documents? I'm hoping to get it but I'd like to use it for work and the large borough is much too large for me!

i'm not actually sure...i have a very small laptop for home and a very large one for work. but the dimensions are 13 3/4" (L) x 9" (H) x 5 1/2" (W) if that helps.

I keep coming back and looking at your pictures...I am beginning to worry that I am going to break down and order this bag! LOL

And, I don't need another one...but...I am soooo tempted!

Have you cut the tags and worn it yet?

haha - now that i have one borough, i can see why people have multiples :)
we've had icky weather so i haven't carried it yet. too bad i didn't get it sooner because last weekend was warm and beautiful. hopefully soon - i'm ready for spring!

Wowza! So hot OP!!

thank you!

That's so pretty! I love it!

thank you!

Love the mod shots! You can take the long strap to a shoe/leather repair store and have them punch additional holes to make it shorter.

thank you! and that is a great idea - thanks for the tip!

I'm such an impatient person that I want instant patina. But I love your bag. Is it pretty stiff like a calfskin?

thank you! it's pretty stiff. it'll be interesting to see how much it softens with time.

wanted to bump this thread up as:
1. i took pictures in natural light (yay for some sun finally!) and
2. i tested apple garde out on the strap and wanted to show you some pictures about how that went, since a lot of people have been asking me about how i was planning to protect it.

first, i sprayed one side of the strap. you can see what it looks like after spraying - a lot of it soaks in right away, which is why the color appears uneven. you can see it compared to the underside of the strap, which had NOT been sprayed at the time. there was one little area on the strap that i could not get to "take" the apple garde - it was weird.

after spraying, i set the strap in the sunlight, about an hour on each side. the apple garde dried evenly.

today, out of curiosity, i pulled out the borough to compare the color (since i have not sprayed the actual bag yet). i can't tell a difference - can you? (it's a big shadowy, but you get the idea)

i'm not sure what i'll do next. even though this weekend was nice, we have a while until winter ends, so that gives me more time to "prep" the bag. i'm thinking i'll spray the actual bag, maybe do a second round with the bag and the strap, and then let it sunbathe from time to time (when we actually get sun?). i don't think i'll condition it yet.

Beautiful!! I noticed this thread was posted quite a long time ago. Do you have any updates? I have been itching to try "aging" one of my coach purses with vachetta leather trim, so I would love to see how yours turned out!

I sprayed my vachetta Borough with Apple Guard all over today, and it dried beautifully and looks like I never did anything at all. No splotches, no streaking, looks great. I did not moisturize beforehand, the bag was clean and soft and I didn't want to do anything to it before I sprayed it. We shall see how she does from here!!!!
