It was quite the spectacle arriving a bit early and watching people "act dumb" and coming up with various excuses on why they don't have a code or just trying to sneak in. It was organized and it seemed like the shoes were the hot item. All the women in the previous shopping cohort left with shoes. RTW seemed limited very little in the way of leather but I did see a few twillanes the grey one with the tiger printed. I was able to score a coat, sweater dress and 2 scarves. Good luck!

Thoughts about day 1:

It appeared to be quite the controlled scene when I arrived at the venue, maybe because I chose the last slot of the day or because I had a glass of wine 20 minutes before arrival (my office is a 5 minute walk away).

Check in was quick - a person manned the closed front door, you show your email with QR code, you are directed inside to the right to check in before checking in your coat. You can hang on to your bag for the shopping - I recall last year having to check in my bag. A white paper shopping bag is handed to you upon entrance to the SHOW. Last year it was a transparent plastic bag.

The layout was the same: shoes lining left perimeter, cashiers to the front right, silks/scarves and RTW occupy the center, bracelets on the far right wall and dressing rooms in the back.

The selection was decent.

Silks/scarves were definitely circa 2019, with some designs making a reappearance from last year’s sale! There were 90s, 100s, 140s, giant triangles and Twillys.

RTW was okay - I’m a 36 or 38 and didn’t find too much that made me ooh and ahhh.

Bracelets were really random when it came to leathers. Really random styles. The bigger variety came via enamels - hinged and bangles.

Ties, hats, swimwear, and baby shoes/towels were also available.

In the end, I was a little more stressed about leaving my puppy at home while I shopped…and distracted because my best friend (the +1) was having a major case of indecision regarding all the items she had in her bag.

I walked out with a pair of orans and a men’s cashmere muffler. Walked out meaning I paid and exited  - long day, long day.

I have to ask. Anyone who attended the sale did anyone look like they was live shopping or hoarding up merchandise?
From what I have been reading so far looks like the resellers was either not obvious or not on the invite list. So far I haven't seen any Hermes sample sale pictures popping up on selling platforms like the last sale.

Shoes and scarves were obviously prized but there were limits as to how many you can buy. I didn’t see anyone live shopping - in fact it was overly peaceful during my time slot. A lot of best friends (like me!) shopping together and comparing notes. When it came to the loudest individuals, my observation of course and during the 5-6pm slot, it had to be the husbands. No joke.

I live in the building right next to soiffer haskin but am not invited to the sale. Do you guys think I’ll have luck just going to downstairs and trying to get in the sale everyday until it’s over? I can also check in on lines for those who are curious!
Pls let us know! I’m on UES and can join you in line if getting in is a possibility! Can buy you a coffee for the trouble!

I normally don’t post pictures of purchases, but after the tepid thoughts of the sale experience yesterday, I want to also highlight the positive.

The event was organized and clean, and provided a sense of safe and frenzy-free shopping. There were some very good items, including the rouge blush Oran sandals and H Coaching men’s muffler (in my absolute favorite cw) that I was lucky to buy.

Do I have any day-after regrets? Yes. I wish I kept the rose ete mini dog clous bracelet and black sweater dress in my shopping bag during checkout. If I should be so lucky to attend next year maybe I’ll trust my initial impression of all items I pick up and keep them in the bag during checkout.

I hope H corporate finds an equitable way to provide the opportunity to attend the sale to other H clients small, medium, and big. And I fully disclose that I’m not VIP - not by a long, long, long Aaron Judge home run distance shot.
