This is starting to sound like VCA holiday pendant all over again. One of my friends who's VIP at my local boutique didn't get the invitation either, she has purchased 2 quota bags and got offered a SO all within this year. Meanwhile this acquaintance who casually shops at H once in a while for some shoes and scarves got invited to the sale :confused1:
Makes me wonder if H marketing dept purposely invites more non VIPs to jack the H addiction and nudge them into the journey lol. Another friend who is more vIP (notice small v, not capital V) than me also got invited while our VVIP friend didn't. Go figure

Personally I think they shouldn’t be leaving open spaces unfilled and any VIP clients unhappy that they need to seek out resellers for simple small things they’ve asked for and SA was never able to source (but now these things showed up in the sale)

If that's the case they should definite send me the invitation link. I'm fairly new to the boutique and can use some nudging to ignite my H addiction :graucho:

I didn’t get invited either. I don’t know. Maybe if you mentioned it to your sa they are more likely to invite you? I never brought this up to my sa, so not sure if that factors into it.

Tbh I highly doubt corporate understands the relationship as intimately as the SA or SM. No diff than at work (for those of us who have to work lol) where your boss knows you are a top performer but your boss’s boss, i.e.: corporate, has not clue. Most likely it was some H corporate admin dept randomly choosing clients to be invited. And yes I agree that leaving empty slots or leaving out good clients is bad for the bottom line. Matter of fact, anybody knows what happens to the unsold inventory. Again H works in mysterious way

I guess it keeps getting pushed forward? Since people said there were things from the previous sale?

I went this morning at the urging of some friends who had gone earlier in the week. Thank you to my friends for giving me great advice. I got a pair of sneakers and 2 pairs of ankle boots. It was well organized, the line to get in was not long and there wasn’t a mad crush of people inside. I had a 9 am slot, arrived at 8:45, got in line outside, and I was inside by a little after 9 am. I was primarily interested in shoes and there is still a good selection in all sizes. There was no one in line to checkout and I was out of there by 10 am. There were a couple of people in line outside who did not have invitations but they had a gentleman checking outside so only people with QR codes were allowed into the building. There were two people scanning QR codes inside and checking photo IDs. At checkout, I was asked if I had ever shopped at Hermes and they looked up my account before they rang up my stuff. You have to wear a mask indoors and they will hand you a mask if you forgot to bring one.

Love your boots and sneakers @DoggieBags!

I was fortunate to be a +1 again, a few days later . I wasn’t sure I would be let in since I had already been a friends +1. But, so long as a +1 has a valid QR code confirmation for a current time slot, and is accompanied by a primary guest With an original invitation, there isnt a problem. ( thank you my long-standing TPF/IRL friends for sharing)

There was no line, but a woman approached before I entered the building. She said right in front of the bouncer that she would pay me To get in. I said sorry, I cannot; and the bouncer told her that the appt +1 guests must be registered in advance. He told her she cannot solicit people she does not know.

The shoes (50%) were absolutely restocked. I saw different styles than my first time a few days ago. It says something that Soiffer Haskins has more comfy shoe seating areas than both the old Madison and the new Flagship. Lol. I do think that the RTW was somewhat replenished, but it was more of the same styles. A lot of black and white silk cashmere twillane twin sets. Not appealing to me personally bc the white has some cream design which I think makes the garment look discolored. I didn’t think there were new types of scarves, but there looked to be the same amount as a few days ago, so they are clearly restocked.

For those of us with SAs who tried to get invites, it was my understanding that the SAs were invited to shop this weekend, so if there is something you really want, perhaps your SA can help you? IDK

As @DoggieBags and others have mentioned, at checkout, the cashier asks for the name of your H acct and looks it up. When the cashier asked me, I said I was the +1 guest, but I also gave my H acct and they found me in the system.

ETA: the cashier said SF has nothing to do with the invites which come from H corporate. This confirms what my SA said as he did not even know there would be a sample sale. In fact, my SA assumed that there would be no sale this year bc of the Madison opening.

certain fabulous pieces (like all of those of @Naynaykilla and others on this thread were not restocked.

I went on a Thursday morning at 9am, the first time slot. I was hoping for a cashmere blanket and initially thought that they didn’t have home items so i first headed towards the cashmere gm and then shoes. I got a cashmere Gm for myself and one for hubby. Also picked up cotton pareo, 90cm silk, a pair of twillies and 4 pairs of shoes. As I headed to rtw, I was pleasantly surprised to find a shelf with a nice selection of cashmere blankets. Deciding on which one to get was the hardest part but thankfully a friend came to the rescue and we ended up choosing the clic clac quadrille print. Everything is well stocked except for the rtw. They didn’t have much in my size but seemed to be plentiful in other sizes. Overall, it was a nice shopping experience. Although slots were for 1.5 hr, I was done in an hour and that includes going back and taking a second look at scarves and shoes so I didn’t feel rushed at all.
