UPS delivered an EMPTY box!

I’m sorry but FedEx is an absolute nightmare right now!!!!! The worst shipping company I have ever come across!! I’ve been dealing with them for a week now to track down a lost lululemon order. Apparently it’s at the destination facility, but has been out for delivery numerous times and still no package. I hope the people at FedEx are helping you out as no one seemed to want to do anything for me and I had to have lululemon file a claim against them.

I feel like everywhere is a nightmare. Same issue with my delivery. I ordered the Graceful and it was supposed to arrive Saturday, then Monday, then Tuesday. By Tuesday I was tired of waiting so I went to the distribution center and asked them to hold it since I had been waiting. Apparently, my order was being scanned but not being loaded onto the truck. On Tuesday afternoon, I located my delivery man in my neighborhood. He couldn’t find my package because his truck was full. I’ve read that They’ve had peak volume and are understaffed. I wasn’t rude but asked him nicely if he could set my package aside for pickup if possible.

I had planned to make the drive to pick it up but my husband brings it in before I could leave. He said a yellow delivery truck brought it, not a UPS truck and the delivery man verified by asking security questions only my husband would know. No signature. My purse was in the package but no ribbon and no receipt.

This thread brings back memories of when I had not one but two LV's stolen. Thieves are definitely taking advantage of the current situation on top of our delivery service workers being overwhelmed, just the perfect storm for missing packages or stolen thievery.

Yes - UPS is dealing with peak volumes (like Christmas) except they have no seasonal staff to help.

regarding no ribbon - I think someone posted it was to minimize contact with packages. And to me I think that makes sense especially if the LV warehouse is super busy and they need to save time.

This was my update from UPS this morning and of course after reading this thread before bed last night it now spiked my anxiety lol especially since there is no bad weather in CA right now. I have fingers crossed everything will be okay. 951800EE-A75A-4937-8C72-582E52769342.jpeg

Even though I'm home all day, I'm not ordering anything expensive right now since the signature part is being waived.

I think even if another "Exception/Delay" (civil unrest/weather/circumstances out of UPS control) option is chosen, in reality, it's probably related to delays due to COVID.

Seems like something is definitely going on. I was recently able to snag a hard-to-find bag online. The LV website said it was scheduled to arrive today. Instead I receive a phone call from LV saying the package was returned to distribution center in NJ because it was unable to be delivered by UPS (there was definitely no delivery attempt, as we’ve been home this whole time) but absolutely no tracking info or notes from UPS. My husband took the call, so when I tried to call the same number back, it seems to be someone’s cell phone, who is not answering. Called the main customer service number and speak to a “supervisor,” who can’t confirm that number came from LV or that a person of that name works there...and cannot locate my package. So frustrating!!

I also received a message like this from UPS a couple of weeks ago - even though the weather was perfect. The package did arrive the next day. I think it's coronavirus related.

My LV bag was originally supposed to be delivered today. UPS website still says unable to deliver due to civil unrest. Really? In California? Ok. I called today and they were not able to give me any information. They would only say that my package is in their possession and not lost. I think they are really short handed right now and they are just entering any reason code.
The thought of receiving an empty box after waiting this long gives me such anxiety.

Today is May Day and several worker protests are scheduled, so that may have something to do with it.

That is really terrifying... I would hate to think our order information are leaked to unknown person.

That’s how I was! I’m in CA and mine was delayed due to an “emergency situation” then yesterday I missed the driver by 5 min, drove all around my neighborhood looking for him. Then today as I’m following my driver on the tracking it says that it’s still on the way but they can’t locate my truck for follow my delivery and is all I could think was I was getting an empty box or no box!
Long story short it got delivered an I videoed myself opening it and all was good
Video yourself opening yours as well just incase something is wonky lol.

I find that follow your delivery hit or miss. My UPS driver is a friend from childhood. So, if I’m not home he will text me and I will meet him somewhere on his route to get it. Im glad you got your package intact. Thanks for the advice. I will definitely videotape the unboxing when I finally get it.

I've had 4-5 LV deliveries from NJ over the past month and no issues, but mail theft in general is up as are car break-ins and other opportunistic crimes. I'm sure a lot of it is shady people taking advantage of the situation but I also think many people have been pushed to the breaking point economically and are taking desperate measures to support themselves and their families.
