I rarely post on TPF, but I wanted to say that your completed ring is gorgeous, Ame! So glad your long, long saga has finally ended. Congrats and hopefully, after this, all your future jewelry endeavors will be without problems!

Ame, your rings are beautiful. The workmanship on the wedding band looks wonderful, and the stones are gorgeous. I am sorry you had to go through so much frustration to get the rings just right, but I'm happy you finally got what you were after. Wear them in the best of health!

I'm sure Ame will respond to the first part, but just to show people what kind of things are going wrong, here are pictures of SOME of the poor workmanship they have done to MY ring over the last 8 weeks. Just so people can see this stuff isn't fabricated. I waited 8 weeks for a simple head reset and re shanking of my band. It's still not right. My band is warped and my stone is now crooked in the head. I have never had any repair job take over 2-3 days before and have never had to take anything back (much less 7 times) for redo's and adjustments. I don't expect perfection, but I also shouldn't have to settle for dents, prongs not touching, a warped shape to my ring, ect ect. Neither should Ame.

I know the simple thing is to say "find a new jeweler", but I honestly think its more than that. Ame has tried SO many of the jewelers in our city and they either crack her band, set her stone crooked, ect ect. It really is a jinx and I think somehow I got in the middle of it..lol. Also the jeweler we are using now has an excellent reputation...it's just this "thing" following Ame around. And a good way to prove it's bad luck and not our jeweler in this case, Ame's had errors made by our jeweler, Vatche and the current Tiffany's repair place (I'm guessing Ame's not mentioning their name). In my case there was the first person who set the stone (unknown who they used the first time), "bench kid", and most recently whoever they use for their laser work messed up a bunch of stuff. It does seem like quite the tale...I agree.

But it's really real for Ame.

Ame I'm so sorry this all sucks!! It's so hard to get excited for something and then have them keep screwing it up!

OMG though, can I just say, not that custom jewelers can't do an AMAZING job, but THESE pictures make me so glad I just went to Tiffany's!!!

Lol@jen! Yea I'm exhausted. I REALLY hope it's done. I M terrified that they like didn't use plat when resizing or something. I hope that's faded soon!!!

Funny anecdote: Apparently no one at Vatche was allowed to touch my ring, speak of my ring, speak of anything related to my ring until MR VATCHE arrived at the office. HE hand stamped it. HE packed it. HE yelled at Jeweler Dude for allowing another jeweler company to size it. But it's all good. Because it's here.

I am going to see how they fit over the next few weeks/months and if necessary adjust size from there. I DO think the band can go slightly smaller and the ering can go slightly bigger, but Ill give it some time.
