Wow....that's outrageous....thanks for letting everyone know....I guess that's why she only has three pics of the bag on the website....sheesh....you shouldn't have had to pay anything (shipping or restocking) as that is false advertising/bait and switch.....a buyer can only beware if an item is sold "as is".....this wasn't the case here....and she could be subject to civil penalties....and a report to the Better Business Bureau/Attorney General's Office....but you also did the best possible thing by revealing this info on this forum.....I certainly wouldn't buy from her....

At the recommendation of someone here (who I now think WORKS for this store) on TPF H "finds", I purchased a BRAND NEW IN BOX black Fjord Birkin 30 with phw from, "Get Styled by LuLu." http://getstyledbylulu.com/category_20/Designer-Handbags.htm

I would NEVER RECOMMEND THIS SELLER.

The bag was stated as "never carried and BNIB."

It arrived and was completely used......as in......a LOT.

It had:
Four scratched feet, scratched hardware, ALL FOUR corners were scuffed and one had a white mark of paint from being scraped on a wall presumably. The handles had cracked resin from having a LOT of use.

It also was very scratched and dented on the interior. There was DIRT, LINT AND GROSSNESS inside of the bag.

I emailed the owner, furious about the bag. She told me to take it to a "leather person that you trust" and have them repair the bag :wtf:

I advised her that NO ONE other than H can touch H bags or H will never service them. She explained that she always took her H to a leather person because the spa at H was too long of a wait :wtf::shocked:

Needless to say she offered a partial refund because of the condition of the bag was NOTHING like new. I refused and returned the bag for a full refund as I had ZERO interest in a supposedly BNIB bag I bought as an Xmas gift and I do not give USED gifts.

She processed my refund after I had to overnight her the bag at MY expense. She deducted a $25.00 "restocking fee" on the bag that was NOTHING as described. I absolutely understand that she charges the fee as it is stated on the website; however, to charge me a fee on a return that was ONLY returned because the seller is either blind or a liar is just unreal to me. The bag was totally used and not BNIB by any stretch of the imagination.

NEVER, NEVER, again............

Here it is relisted as, BNIB at the top of the listing and then at the bottom it says, "Pristine Condition with superficial marks."

Kristie, sorry for what you went through :hugs:

Just for reminder !!

BEWARE : This website that Kristie mentioned above currently list the bag as a NEW bag. Obviously seller is NOT telling the truth!!

^^Just saw that the bag is on layaway. Oh dear, I pity the new owner when she finally takes delivery.

Sorry Kristie you had to deal with this and thank you for reporting it here so we can all be in the know.

As anyone heard of la*clochette, they are selling a Birkin that i am looking at. In the Hermes imprint, there is no gold or silver embossed in it; however, when i called the Hermes store, they said they only make the Birkin with gold or silver in the imprint. The bag looks authentic. Does anyone have any information on this or the seller? Thanks!

I think La Clochette used to be Palm Springs. I saw some listings on the "Authenticate this Thread," and so far, from what I have seen on the thread, the items referenced are all authentic.

can anybody tell me more about this seller of hermes bags only on ebay?

They have many very nice birkins and they claimed they have their office along 5 avenue, new york.

Any feedback on the authenticity of the bags sold by this seller?

please help.

Hello, does anyone know of an honest reputable reseller who outright buys Birkins from people. Something along the lines of a "Createurs de Luxe"? I sell my own high end items on EBAY, but not items this high end. I have a GREAT relationship with my sales associate at Hermes and just bought a was lucky enough to buy a Birkin 40 cm Roughe Garrance in the new Vache Trekking!!!! PS Im new to PurseForum,, and now I think Im addicted!!!

I recently purchased a Kelly from Sam of Haute gallery recently. It was my first time buying online and he was very kind. He even shipped my bag all the way to Australia for free and was quick to answer my queries. I would definitely buy from him again.

I also had a great experience with Sam @ Haute Gallery as well! He is very customer service oriented, easy to contact, he shipped my purchase super fast, and the bag I received was better than expected! I hope to purchase from him again in the future!:yahoo:

Yes my dear Clutch: Was it Saturday when I told you about it?
I got it yesterday. I will post pics dearie after I am done staring and marveling at the beauty. Jean is FABULOUS!!!. YOU AND MEZZO are Fabulous too.
OOPS are we allowed to discuss fellow tpfer here?:p

Congratulations on brique acqusition -- great way to end a year and start a new one, with a huge smile and doing the happy dance!! (I saw the pics of that beauty -- so pretty indeed.)

Congratulations Twilight78. I purchased my very first Hermes item from MightyKismet and had a wonderful transaction. The Birkin I purchased from her is the one in my avatar.

It has been awhile since I've posted here at the Purse Form due to an extended bout with a serious illness. While I was away I had a chance to purchase a few more lovely Hermes items; and re-evalute what is in my closet to weed out some items that no longer work for me.

What I would like your help with is this: Have any of you used a consigner to help you sell your Hermes items which you no longer wish to own? Have you found someone one reputable who is actually able to sell your items and has paid you in a timely manner?

If you have I would love to hear of your experiences. I am looking to find a reputable consigner and any feedback would be much appreciated.

If you would prefer to pm. me I will certainly understand and appreciate it.

Thank you so much!

All:

At the suggestion of a fellow tPFer, I am posting about my recent experience with Decades.

I recently purchased a bag from the reseller. It was a special bag so I was willing to pay the price (which was a bit high considering the age). I was told the bag was in great condition and it looked great in the pictures. However, it arrived in not so great condition. I sent it straight to the spa. It looks better now and is certainly usable but I probably wouldn't buy from them again unless it was BNIB.
