OUCH. I've not sold any bag, but this makes me dread if/when I decide to do so.

I really wish there was a site allowing straight trades for H bags, with a reasonable fee to be the escrow/shipping agent. Perhaps the option to swing a few $k either way to a party if someone's bag is in better shape or is more desirable.

To be clear, I'm NOT angling for any solicitations via this forum or through any members. I'm just saying I'd definitely be a customer if someone wanted to start such a business, because the at least 30% writeoff when consigning or auctioning is just insane.
I know!! I just think it is important to know that when we look at auction results, that is NOT what the seller is getting. (And when we are looking to buy at auction, that low estimate is NOT the price lol).

One of the reasons I mentioned Collector Square is that they are one of a very few places that DOES do trade-in, in the sense that instead of selling them a bag, you can go in and execute an entire transaction, walking out with a different bag. I haven't done it personally but I've accompanied friends who trade in or up. (This has always been in person in Paris; I am not certain they would do this by mail.)

Agree we need a better, friendlier way to buy, sell, and trade!

Hey Everyone - does anything have experience with the following Resellers for BRAND NEW (fresh from the boutique) Hermes Birkins/Kellys?

1) Bags By Appointment
2) PrivePorter
3) Threads Styling
4) Madison Avenue Couture
5) JaneFinds
6) Fashion_Finders_NYC
7) Michelle Lovelace
8) Maastic Luxury

Also is there a chance we can have a running list of Reputable Resellers going on this thread or is that not allowed? I feel that might be easier all around.... like the best resellers by country or by affordability or something....

Sorry, but I think that it will be hard to build this as it’s seems difficult to share one’s true experience on the matter.

I tried to share recently, but was immediately bullied and blamed for my review of the company in question - even though I, as a buyer, was clearly not responsible for having the wrong item shipped to me.

If the forum wants to see more honest and helpful reviews we need to encourage sharing proper opinions, be supportive and open minded.

Dear all, thank you so very much for all of your suggestions and ideas and thoughts on my initial question - I am quite bad at multiple references on postings therefore this thank you to all of you!

I think I will reach out to one or two auction houses that do have an office in my city and maybe also ask CS - I have purchased from them in the past and I have always been very happy with their customer service. A bit on the pricier side as a buyer but I felt I could buy with confidence.

Will let you know how this goes…

This is that thread.

If you do a search you can see whether these resellers have been mentioned. All come from members' experiences.

Your post on VC (Feb 11) is still up and has never been deleted or edited.

I hope you were refunded, but please don't create drama. You asked for opinions and you received them. VC is not even in the list the new member posted.

Lately VC has had push-back over buyers returning items for various legit reasons. Once returned, then found that instead of VC refunding listing from their own account (as promised) the item has been relisted from their (buyer's personal) account making the last responsible for the resale (even though it may have been broken, incorrect item, missing part etc).
I couldn't decipher if that happed to you. If that happened to you, that's tough, I would check VC's T&C.

If VC destroyed the bag for no reason but the wrong colour was sent, then it's sad and unfortunate for the seller (that used VC to sell to you). It's extreme, ridiculous and silly, but not 'blackmail' if that's what happened, I hope the seller uses legal recourse.

This is a great post and I am also very much interested in knowing the reputable resellers. (I got so tired of all the drama created by the SA at H. - E.g., "no, we don't have a bag [in fact, we do but not for you]"; "by Christmas... by your birthday...."etc. whatever.) Please share your experiences as I need to find a good, trusted resellers. Thank you!

Just to share a current experience with VC: bought a vintage H scarf in „excellent“ condition, described as „ like new“ by the seller - turned out to be wrinkeled with the tiny, hard-set wrinkles that only come up after washing the scarf - and it looked and felt like it was washed a few times, the rolled edges were also not puffy anymore. Not like new for sure.

Wrote back to VC to complain (I had not used their verification service) and after fighting with AI-generated answers for two days I got to send the scarf back to the actual seller, not VC.

Turns out that the seller just re-listed the scarf with no change (!) in description.

That’s not the question; I never stated that the post was deleted, I said I was bullied and blamed.

I was nice to offer a solution (discount/goodwill) that was less than aborting the whole transaction - and was blamed for “only wanting a discount”. Quite silly, and of course done only to intimidate me in a situation that was already bad for me as a buyer.

It’s like damn if you do and damn if you don’t - if my attitude have been “I refuse to cooperate” instead, I probably have been blamed for that. Not very supportive.

I’m just saying that if the forum wants to see more honest and helpful reviews we need to encourage sharing proper opinions, be supportive and open minded for what shared.

It doesn’t matter which companies was on the list; with that list we probably want to include all kind of companies on the accurate market.

Just to add: Money is back already, VC sent it at once after I had the Parcel handed over to the logistics company. This was really fast and good.

Good morning, I'm not sure if I'm at right place, I just wanted to know if anyone based in Singapore & areas knows more about the Huntstreet. they sell preloved H items, but especially I found great things that are impossible to find anywhere. I never tried this website so please if anyone knows more if it's correct, I'- would be glad to read .
Thank you for your opinions that always help a lot,

T
This would be the better place to place the question. Quick search on this thread unfortunately shows no result.

I thought they are Indonesian-based (not Singapore). Hopefully someone with experience can share.
