Just curious…how does Eclaire Atelier get their hands on so many new Hermes bags with the shrink wrap still on the box? I thought Hermes always removes the shrink wrap to inspect before selling the bags in the Hermes boutique? . I would love to buy pre-loved but to drop that much money and have a slight doubt of it’s authenticity is scary.
I think there are machines to shrink wrap in the back rooms. I am sure they can be purchased.

Hello everybody, I browsed through the last 20 pages of this thread and therefore am not quite sure if it is the right one to ask this, but here goes: I will do business in Paris at the beginning of November and have 1 day for me as well :) since I have tried the lottery unsuccessfully before and thought long about buying a vintage H bag instead (since I do own a brand new B30 already) I was wondering if you have any recommendations for me regarding vintage stores in Paris that sell H bags? Thank you in advance for your time and patience to answer me :)

Collector Square and Catherine B. I've had good experiences with the latter - the former just requires a bit of due diligence IMO.

If you're going to visit Collector Square, I suggest you go to their website, look for anything you like, and if you find one, schedule an appointment with them. It's not a good idea to just show up because it takes a while to get something from their storage area. When I went there as a walk-in guest, I asked for a bag and it took like 20-30 minutes for someone to bring it out. It was a bit awkward because the place is small so when there are a handful of customers, there's nowhere to sit and you cannot browse their other items because only a handful are on display. So I was there just standing near the security guy. Also I was disappointed in the bag they brought out because it was really nice in pictures (very good condition accdg to them), but in real life it looked really worn out and sad.

I've sold a bag through them, though, and it was a breeze. They are very efficient.

Just echoing both of these comments. Catherine B is fabulous but tiny (she’s got a lot of stuff in the back, too). For Collector Square you have to make an appointment if you want to see anything in particular.

i saw a Robb report article (apologies, I am unable to post a link) that stated luxury watch brands like Rolex, AP, and PP, are starting to lower their prices on the secondary market. There is now too much supply, even with respect to popular brands. Of course, some of these prices are still above retail, but the market is softening. I cannot help but think that this bodes well for those of us who love deals on other luxury goods like H bags. The secondary market prices are cyclical and for some items trending downward.

yes. for Rolex the waitlist is getting shorter and shorter. I've seen stories on reddit where people in NYC have gotten Daytonas and Datejusts as walk-in customers, and without any previous spend history.

but this is for the watches and I'm not sure this translates to H, because they're just so slow. lol

Hello again, what was your experience to make you recommend DD with Collector Square if I may ask? (Of course, one should always make sure the items they buy are authentic, I was just curious) thank you in advance for your answer

1) Their "expert" makes quite a lot of errors on leathers and colors. Others have noted that their condition reports are off.
2) A member here bought a bag from them that was lost in shipping, and they were not at all helpful nor very responsive (with $17K of bag in the ether). I wouldn't buy overseas from them after that.
3) I personally find them a wee bit rude.
