My Friend just share her bad experiences with Singapore Reseller Instagram name: “Finklepuff” . Most of item is preloved and Like New condition.
My friend bought few bags from her. Unfortunately there’s always got issue etc: Turnkey very loose , the bag interior very sticky. Not transparent and didn’t describe the bag well.

They have some disputes because my Friend decided to cancel her booking and want return back the bag she just received.
Finklepuff told her she will forfeited her deposit.
At last Finklepuff refunded because my friend told her if she forfeited she going to lodge police report ,Consumers Association of Singapore Case & FIDReC.

Finklepuff is not Trustable Reseller. She is only got Instagram. Please be careful when you purchase online.

There’s many else reseller Trustable like Luxlexicon, Ciaciasg .. Few my friends bought from them. All go smooth and nice.

I have just placed an order with Stephanie last Friday. May I know more detail of your friend’s experience. Did stephanie provides photos and answer the questions before your friend put the deposit? Did your friend authenticate the bag? Is stephanie selling defect bag or fake bag? Thanks
Your friend’s story makes me worry about my order

Has anyone in the USA had trouble checking out on Collector Square? Every time I enter my address all goes well until I enter my state, then it says “region not valid”. I tried my other address in a different state as well and the same thing happens. Thanks.
I had a bad experience with collector square. Purchased a rare bag for a premium price. Made it through customs and then it disappeared - ups basically stole it. Now, I don’t blame Collector Square for the package getting lost as UPS was clearly at fault. What I’m upset about is that they wouldn’t refund me until ups gave them an official letter stating they lost the package. They held my money ($20k) for 8 weeks!!!! They did refund me but it was a stressful ordeal and I’m not sure if I’ll purchase from them again. They do have great rare bags and the order process was seamless. It was just the after service that was disappointing. Again, not blaming them for the lost bag, just wish the refund process didn’t take as long.

What a terrible experience. Thank you for the warning. I had several situations lately purchasing from respected stores and having very expensive items arrive with undisclosed damage, or in other cases with the business holding my money without reason instead of promptly refunding. I suppose business practices may be changing with the current economic climate. I appreciate the warning, especially as I am also in the USA and it is enough of a hassle sometimes to have an item shipped internationally when things go fairly smoothly. I suppose I will consider that it may have been for the best that I could not make this purchase after all.

I learned my lesson about buying internationally. Customs was a big pain and they WILL charge you the customs fees. The bag went through ups customs and they disclosed both the contents and the value of the bag on the form which I think contributed to the fact that it went missing.
Additionally, CS was not that ‘customer friendly’ when I kept checking in. ‘I assure you we are working with ups’…. I think it’s natural to be concerned about having that much money on your credit card with no item but they certainly acted as if I was being a pain. I had to file a dispute with my credit card to avoid paying as I didn’t want a huge credit on my card and I didn’t want all that money taking up ‘available credit’. Finally (not CS fault), I got a bill from customs even though I never received the bag. It took me 2 days with a 45 min wait to get through to their Customs dept to get it taken care of so I didn’t get a ding on my credit. After the experience, I vowed I’d only shop domestically. This is just my bad experience but it was a lesson learned. Some people have had a great experience and I think if the bag had not gotten lost, I would have been one of them. However the whole experience soured me a bit.

I have had several unbelievable hassles lately with purchases as well, your experience and mine are a good reminder that most times the potential waste of time an effort is not worth while unless it is really a unicorn item. I am trying to make myself consider, “if the worst case scenario happens, will this be worth it?”. In the past, that only meant month potentially being tied up for a month or so in the worst case, now I think more about how many hours of my time and effort it will take to get an issue resolved. In the new climate of greatly reduced customer service personnel/customer service hours/only email communication sometimes, both at businesses themselves and with the shipping companies or customs, it is more likely that #1- there will be some error, delay or problem and #2- it will be almost impossible to resolve it afterwards.
I do appreciate the heads up about collector’s square, it seems like I will need to add them to the “only unicorn” mental list for remote shopping.

Here is what happened with Vestaire Collective (to forewarn others). I bought the bag. The seller “suddenly” realized the bag was in Taiwan not in London. Vestaire let me know no bag was forthcoming. The seller has not shipped the bag. I have to wait seven days until the order is cancelled. Despite a gazillion emails to Vestaire they apparently cannot/will not cancel the order. So, I wait. All very fishy. First and absolute last time I purchase from Vestaire.

Hi all, I have a question. If this is inappropriate in this thread, please let me know! But this seemed the best place as it's sort of "resale".

I have black GHW B30 in Ardennes that I want to get rid of or trade with a Kelly. I'm going to Paris this weekend and I was wondering if this is something consignment stores do? (Trade of goods)? If it isn't, I won't even bother bringing my bag, but just wanted to see if anyone has done something similar. If you know of an online consignment store that does this, I would consider shipping too it just scares me to send it out there. I just find selling more of a hassle and would prefer to trade with something I would actually use. Thank you!

It would probably be much more simple to sell your bag and then to buy what you want (from anywhere) instead of hoping that the stores would offer a straight trade and also have something you are looking for. If you want the most simple selling experience, perhaps go through a service or store that offers outright purchase instead of consignment. Another option might be to see about selling to a store that offers store credit (usually a higher percentage than what you would get for outright purchase) and then you can wait until they get what you are looking for in stock. European members can speak to specific stores more than I can, but larger stores are more likely to have a greater selection for you to choose from.

I don’t know about Paris. I know Luxury Promise in London does swaps.

Just bought a gorgeous H bag in perfect condition from entrance2elegance on Ebay. Her bags etc are VERY well displayed in photos (all angles, etc.) descriptions clearly given and accurate, she was a pleasure to work with ( excellent and fast communication), and (as it states on the bottom of every description) she has been a member of tpf for years- which, total transparency, I did NOT know when searching for this bag.
Highly recommend and I certainly hope to do business with her again.
