My Friend just share her bad experiences with Singapore Reseller Instagram name: “Finklepuff” . Most of item is preloved and Like New condition.
My friend bought few bags from her. Unfortunately there’s always got issue etc: Turnkey very loose , the bag interior very sticky. Not transparent and didn’t describe the bag well.

They have some disputes because my Friend decided to cancel her booking and want return back the bag she just received.
Finklepuff told her she will forfeited her deposit.
At last Finklepuff refunded because my friend told her if she forfeited she going to lodge police report ,Consumers Association of Singapore Case & FIDReC.

Finklepuff is not Trustable Reseller. She is only got Instagram. Please be careful when you purchase online.

There’s many else reseller Trustable like Luxlexicon, Ciaciasg .. Few my friends bought from them. All go smooth and nice.

I buy from fashionphile, AFF, Yoogis closet, and some Japanese resellers, brand JFA, Brandoff etc.

i would never buy anything from facebook groups or Instagram

I always authenticate bf purchase and pay with PayPal backed by a CC.
Just FYI I received a replica Jige from brand JFA. Luckily I did use paypal so I was able to return for a full refund.

Oh, a bit. Just a touch. Tiny possibility. Sigh. Laughably obvious, but also classic in the IG age. How to emphasize common sense to shoppers who don't think twice about throwing thousands of irretrievable dollars to just anyone...

They're not IG though. Definitely a red flag on the address. The scary thing is that the prices were believable for the resale market and that they accept credit card payments which sort of gives a false sense of believability to some initially.

I have been casually looking for some vintage scarves on Ebay/FP/whatever other sites over the past few months, and see a lot of weird fraudulent listings... Here's an example of 4 listings which use all of the same pictures (not just the cover photo).
I reported these to Ebay before, but they didn't seem to care, I'm wondering how these Ebay sellers maintain a high approval rating.

I’m very surprised at your statement that Instagram resellers are the most commonly known people to buy from.

It must be a generational thing? I can’t name a single Instagram reseller and I would never send several thousands to some random person on Instagram.

But then I am very aware of how good replicas are nowadays, so I tend to assume everything that doesn’t go through proper channels is a replica and I am maybe overly cautious.
I don't think it's generational (the younger gen isn't even on Instagram the way, say, millennials are). The fact is, there are no "Instagram sellers". Anyone can have an Insta account, anyone can have an Insta business account. Many, many "reseller" accounts simply take photos from other accounts (a flag: backgrounds and lighting all different). Most of these are scam, a few are working with other resellers and don't actually own inventory. There are also a LOT who buy from the superfake factories and resell THOSE "bags" (this is basically impossible to see in an Insta photo). Currently, Instagram as a platform does not enable a direct sale and therefore has zero liability for anything you buy.

There are of course reputable and valid sellers whose primary presence is on Insta. Most of them have some other outlet as well (I mean, it costs maybe a couple hundred dollars for a basic website....). If all you are allowed to see is an Instagram account with no other accounts, no website, no physical address.....and it's not an individual with a known reputation selling from their collection....well, I'd be very very very cautious.

None of this contradicts what I said…

Hi everyone. I’m wondering if anyone can comment on how reliable authentication by Poshmark is. I’ve searched on the forum and haven’t found a discussion on this topic.

(I have my eye on an Hermes bag there, and while I would have it professionally authenticated after purchase, I’m curious about other buyers’ experience with Poshmark’s authentication.)

Thanks in advance!

Has anyone in the USA had trouble checking out on Collector Square? Every time I enter my address all goes well until I enter my state, then it says “region not valid”. I tried my other address in a different state as well and the same thing happens. Thanks.

Well this is concerning. I saw an Hermes B30 in Gold with Ghw for C$14k and thought the deal was too good to be true. Glad you shared this. I understand that everyone makes mistakes but at that level your reputation is only as good as your last transaction. Shame. Bought a Birkin at Ann’s Fabulous Finds and wow.
Has anyone had any experiences with Luxe Du about as a buyer in Calgary?
