Trusted Hermes Reseller Discussion Thread

Collectors Square is the most reputable seller I know. They are old school when it comes to authentication and very thorough. I sold a couple of things with them and they are very professional. If you have to go to pre owned market, choosing someone with an established bricks & mortar store is a better option.

I would check out the recommended thread but personally even if I buy from a very trusted / recommended seller I would still get a second authentication (from Babebebi). All of the major places which for sure offer authentic goods can still make mistakes; almost no place is perfect. So I prefer to just get a second confirmation from the one person we all trust for Hermes authentication. It’s a very reasonable price to pay to get peace of mind IMO.

Happy hunting!

If I were you, I would stay away from vestiaire. Comments about fake Hermes are frequent.

With Vestaire, I think it’s important to be smart and careful. I recently bought a vintage H bag on there and I’m planning on reaching out to bababebi once it arrives to get it authenticated (I’ve seen her mention in the authentication thread that Vestaire pictures are usually not good enough for her professional opinion).

I’ve had very good experiences in buying non-H luxury from Yoogi’s Closet and Fashionphile. FP is taking a loooong time to ship right now though.

I’ve read some pretty scary reviews though. Experience?

My experience is buying directly from H or trusted resellers who have had the bag authenticated
by bababebi.
Doing your "due diligence" is of utmost importance when buying on the secondary market &
since many have come forward to share various experiences, IMO it is best to have a bag authenticated

In Europe/ UK (if it helps at all?) trustworthy places I have used to either buy, sell or both are Collector Square (Jerome Lalande is their authenticator for H who also works with Hermes I believe). Designer Exchange (the bags I have looked at had already been authenticated by Bababebi). Xupes (prices are higher but they are very helpful, professional and reliable. They also have a beautiful showroom) and lastly Naughtipidgins (Shian doesn’t have a huge amount of Hermes and tends to close for school holidays, but she’s lovely and totally trustworthy).

There is a recommended reseller thread on H forum (I’m not as familiar with other forums but I’m sure for others too). There is usually a finds thread (and if you are uncertain, private authentication as per @Love Of My Life above re @bababebi

for Chanel or hermes resellers, I would recommend fashionphile, Ann’s fabulous finds, and for Hermes saddle leather bags, Brandoff, Brand JFA, assuming you are okay with customs, state sales tax and professional color correction and weather proofing. YMMV on the latter.

Japanese resellers formerly on rakuten are usually excellent if you don’t mind converting yen prices.

I loved buying from Luxury Zurich in Switzerland

again, if you are at all uncertain, get private authentication before you purchase
Hi 880,
Could you kindly let me know the full mame of luxury zurich? I could not find them. Tia

Hi I think they are now luxury shops https://www.luxury-shops.com/
but also luxury Zurich on eBay. Luxury Zurich or luxury shops are on the TOF reseller thread.

if you are located in EU, there is a thread somewhere. Hang on. . . My search skills are not good on the modern TPF. But Saclab or Sac lab and Ewa Lagens I think are mentioned somewhere on discuss resellers thread (subtopic EU resellers). . . (I sadly have no experience with any). . . There is also TPF feedback on mixed results on Vestiaire. . . HTH

I agree on collectors square Jerome, very knowledgeable and super helpful. Their pieces are exquisite and is so nice to see things in person, be able to handle them or at least have an expert to hand.

He’s lovely! I met him in Paris to authenticate a piece bought elsewhere (just to be sure) and it was worth it just for the long conversation regarding Hermes

Hi guys! I’m awaiting my Kelly red vif 32 from the real real but am getting scared about authenticity!
trr apparently had a lot of issues! But I think they still send Hermes to their authenticators not copywriters.
I know bababebi authenticated but also curious if anyone used Lollipuff for Hermes? I used it for Chanel and caught a fake double jumbo.
Any experience with Hermes and trr?

TRR has had and will continue to experience authenticity concerns based on a variety of internal issues. If you state Bababebi authenticated the Kelly then you shouldn’t have a worry. To be 100% with out a doubt purchasing directly from Hermes eleviates any concerns.

A red VIF- yummy....congrats to you❤
