Never, ever pay by wire transfer IMO. As a seller I only take payment forms that protect my buyers and it is worth the fees to me. Yes - I increase the price to cover it. It's 3% domestically and a little more internationally for PayPal, close to that ( a bit more) for credit cards, and I think beyond worth it on both sides for peace of mind. (I will waive this for people I know personally and long-term.)
If this bag is not authentic/damaged/in any way not as described/you receive a box of rocks/you receive nothing - you have no recourse. Any seller that insists on wire transfer is suspect to me. I only pay wire transfer direct to an Hermes boutique.

Jan is awesome
I just couldn't pay by wire transfer. I even offered to pay more to use paypal or credit card, but when the seller said no to this as well, I had to move on.

Anyone purchase from Beau et Luxury, EtikaFatma on Instagram? She responded quickly and provided me with additional photos of the bag, but only accepts wire transfer as payment. I'm very nervous about doing this especially after reading recent posts. https://www.instagram.com/etikafatma/
Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
I would suggest you ask around for references from ppl who have bought from her before. Otherwise, I would recommend that you buy from someone who is recommended to you by someone you trust.

I want to put a little PSA here:
Any seller can steal photos of an authentic bag from another seller past or present, and show great detail. Image search will help you here but it won't cover all platforms, for instance it cannot search Instagram.
Any seller can buy Instagram followers and/or create dummy accounts/use bots to post positive comments and feedback.
Any seller can buy or sell a bunch of cheap items to increase their eBay, etc. feedback, and similarly can use dummy accounts to post positive feedback. They can even create false transactions between two accounts to show high-value sales, so you can see a bunch of, say, Birkins sold with positive feedback.
Any seller can be super responsive, warm, and friendly by DM, text, even phone.

Please don't fall for any of this and do something where you as a buyer are not protected :flowers:

Hi QuelleFromage
I personally dont even have paypall cause it is not something common in my country.
When trying to sell some items, indeed peoples from overseas want to use paypall and it is very often a deal breaker, wich I can of course understand.
Do you have any tips as a seller to avoid getting scamed with paypall as well because as I wanted to get an account, several review from sellers also explained beeing scammed by buyers.
Thanks in advance for your time ❤️

The real experts are here (and will keep us on topic): https://forum.purseblog.com/forums/ebay-forum.56/
No payment system is perfect, but a wire is permanent.
There are escrow systems as well which I would recommend for high-ticket items if you do not have a protected form of payment :)

I had such a wonderful experience buying a beautiful scarf from sdsurfchick that I had to take a moment to write this recommendation. Jan responded quickly and knowledgeably, had exactly the scarf I was looking for and shipped FAST. She came highly recommended and I found her to be trustworthy. On top of that the prices on her site are reasonable. Hope this helps others!

I am sure this will help others! I have all the respect for “both” people - I had no idea until you posted this that our own @sdsurfchick is also Jan from Its All Goode! Thank you for sharing.

Yes, I was sent all the photos necessary for authentication before I made the purchase. I just needed to make a deposit in advance to hold the bag.
Good luck.

Hi. I'm also looking at shopping with Finklepuff.

Did your bag come with a Bababebi certificate? Or if you sent it for authentication yourself? I'm a first timer as well and super anxious about it. The bag I like comes with Bababebi certificate and I'd like to confirm with Bababebi first before purchasing.

Other than reading about how she might be rude I haven't seen any reports of fake bags but still anxious.

Hi there I’ve had horrible fake experiences with Chanel and recently bought from trr. Just wondering about experiences. Did u find fakes for h there? I’ve read about counterfiet items for Chanel on fp. Other places that are better for authentication to buy? These are register sites I know of that claim to authenticate.

I have limited resale purchase experience but have had good ones with TRR, FP, and AFF. However, especially on the larger-volume sites (TRR!) it is essential to have a 3rd party authenticator (@bababebi is wonderful and universally highly recommended).

If I were you, I would stay away from vestiaire. Comments about fake Hermes are frequent.

There is a recommended reseller thread on H forum (I’m not as familiar with other forums but I’m sure for others too). There is usually a finds thread (and if you are uncertain, private authentication as per @Love Of My Life above re @bababebi

for Chanel or hermes resellers, I would recommend fashionphile, Ann’s fabulous finds, and for Hermes saddle leather bags, Brandoff, Brand JFA, assuming you are okay with customs, state sales tax and professional color correction and weather proofing. YMMV on the latter.

Japanese resellers formerly on rakuten are usually excellent if you don’t mind converting yen prices.

I loved buying from Luxury Zurich in Switzerland

again, if you are at all uncertain, get private authentication before you purchase
