Just a side reminder - re: eBay

A few years ago I bought a 90cm silk directly from my local H SA and maybe only a MONTH later saw it on ebay for a quarter of the retail price ~ and it was a new seasonal silk.

Of course, I was very tempted to buy it as a back-up but as always now I did due diligence prior to an eBay BIN.

Almost everYthing was exactly the same ON THIS EBAY 90 cm silk but looking at it very closely I noticed that the H copyright mark WAS incorrect or missing entirely.

And I am stating that these two silks were so IDENTICAL that except for that small detail that I nearly bought it the moment I saw the listing.

Long story short, I emailed both the the 90cm silk bought at H and the eBay listing to my H mentor par excellence and she came back to me with the statement - DEFINITELY NOT REAL, GOOD CALL.

So please ladies, be careful with eBay these days! The the-exquisite-artichoke has a great reputation on eBay, so I would not hesitate but especially now, during the past years the H counterfeit market has really stepped up it's game.

Just a quick warning on this IG reseller “jhac40” who stole my C24 photo as it’s own, I DM’d to request for removal and was told to go in private if I didn’t want anyone to use my photos, the nerves! I have since blocked this account, very sketchy!

I follow a bunch of IG resellers, just to see what's new. It is clear to me that they are all advertising the same bags. (You wonder why all of a sudden there are, e.g., so many 20Bs floating around? There aren't -- they all are showing photos of the same bags.) And more than likely if you ask for more photos, you realize that the seller does not have the particular bag in their possession. I once contacted this particular seller for more photos of a bag and he told me he'd have to "ask the seller" who had the bag. Needless to say, I lost interest immediately.

Not only do they all advertise the same bags, IF they put a price, it is in the form of "$1X,000." One reseller recently explained the reason for this -- they are all marketing the same bags and they do not want to list a particular price for fear of competing with one another on price.

I assume they might negotiate with a buyer in private, but do not want one reseller offering for a slightly slower price than the others.

There are big risks buying from IG resellers.

wow interesting to know, I am from Australia and have just purchased and am waiting for my bag from Finkelpuff, her photo's look lovely and she is wonderful to deal with, I am so excited for it to arrive as it's very hard in Australia to get a good preloved Birkin bag! I will be back to update on my experience once it arrives. I am sure it's going to be stunning!
Hi! I know this is a year ago but wanted to know your thoughts on finklepuff? How is your bag? Did you get it authenticated?

I believe the concept to score a bag at FSH is very simple! Spend lots of money (jewelry, ready to wear, etc). For instant, a reseller just posted some pictures on Instagram that she scored 3 bags during the fashion week (now). So it’s BS when they said your spending don’t matter. That’s how Hermes business strategy is... more money = more bags... IMG_9241.jpgIMG_9240.jpg

She is such a well known reseller i wonder why she can just post like this and get away with it. I know H hates reseller but i guess they also turn a blind eye to some

None of the resellers buy the bags themselves. They hire locals/friends/family to score the bags and then pay them a small premium for their time, on top of the price of the bag.
