I used to do most of my H shopping online at the US site. But recently, there were so many silks which I liked from the FW collection that I went to my local H in Singapore to check them out IRL. My first visit, an SA called Brenda attended to me and was business-like verging on unfriendly. Despite that, I went back twice to buy scarves which had caught my eye and had pleasant experiences both times with Susan and Cindy who were knowledgeable and friendly.
My fourth time, I had called ahead to pre-order an item and went there to pick it up. I was served by Brenda and once again, she treated me like I was a nuisance. She attended to me and showed me other items I asked about, but it was obvious from her body language that she was impatient and couldn't wait to get me shoved out the door. And no, the shop was not busy. It had been busy on my 2nd and 3rd visits but i received wonderful service all the same, so customer traffic was not a factor in her behaviour. Very disappointing, but educational: I shall call ahead next time and check if Cindy or Susan are around before I drop by.
