Hi everyone! I'm here to give an update.

I got a call from the Comm. Developer earlier this morning and he told me that the bag is ready for pick up at Sloane St store after 2pm. He also told me that Sloane St SM has been informed regarding my situation, therefore the exchange transaction will have no problem whatsoever.

I then got a call from someone at Sloane St, telling me that the bag is ready, and asked me what time I'll pick up the bag.

Went there at around 5.30pm and promptly greeted by an SA. The exchange transaction went smoothly, and the SA who assisted me kept saying "don't leave yet, we are not finished yet." I just follow her, and she informed me that the Comm. Developer instructed her to give me a gift because of "what happened in Glasgow" that has "caused you too much inconvenience". They gave me a Twilly :smile1: The SA then directed me to choose 1 which I like.

I went home with a blue L and a matching Twilly :smile1: I feel very thankful and relieved that this matter is solved. :smile1:

Great ending!! So glad you got the bag and a little extra something for the hassle. Enjoy and wear in good health. Both bags are stunning but I'm glad you got the one you wanted.

Thanks for sharing your story ( I followed from start to finish)

Although I haven't bought any thing from a hermes store but I do believe it should be a customers rights to exchange unused goods as advised especially if the store has confirmed it could be done. very unfortunate the SM is such a terrible one to deal with. But it was very good you tried to resolve without screaming and kicking.

See , good karma comes around!

Major congrats at a happy resolution to your Lindy problem, nit_ang. So glad that you contacted H directly and finally have the bag that your heart desires. Good luck with your move. :hugs:

I have been looking at Purseforum and wanting a Birkin for years... and finally my husband has agreed to get me one for my birthday. I have been reading and studying the posts and finally went to the NY Madison store on Saturday morning. I was really nervous bc I never bought a bag from Hermes before.

Luckily the store was empty on Saturday morning, I talked with a male SA and he asked me which colors I am looking for. He went to the back and said they do not have those colors. He said he will call me if any of those colors will come in. I asked him if he knows when.. he said he doesn't know.

Do you think I should wait for his call? Or should I keep going to the Madison store and ask? Or should I go to a different stores and ask?

I am so confused what to do... any advices?? :shucks::cry:

I'd keep going to the Madison store (and particularly, the male SA) and the Wall St store. You will probably find that both stores will not have any available each time you walk in, but keep going and try building a relationship with SAs. Good luck!

I'd keep going back - try to see the same SA - and definitely make a few purchases. The chances of you getting offered a B without buying anything else from Hermes are pretty slim (except for FSH where people seem to get lucky sometimes)
