I opted to try the new eco friendly pouch for my last pair of earrings and I’m actually really happy I did, it solves exactly the problem you describe very elegantly!

Being that VCA and Cartier are the same parent company, they have very similar operations so that helped me to understand their online customer service operations.
Recently, I even contacted Cartier for some purchases online from years ago, and they sent me earring pouches and bracelet pouches on those purchases as well. Just include all your info to validate your purchase of the item (but they are not that strict) and end with your mailing address for those items. Currently, they don't have any cleaning kits though sadly. Not that I even use them but nice to have! LOL

They do- I received one with my purchase and my SA said they didn't have them for a while until recently.
Did you shop online or was this in-store/person? That is good to know if it is online. I purchased 3 items online recently and they all informed me they didn't have any cleaning kits.
Since I have never shopped with them before, I assume this would be included in the cleaning kit (if it's anything like Cartier).
I don't really need any, but of course it would be nice to have to see what it's all about...
Yes, I've got a million from Cartier - LOL. You can request online with Cartier from past purchases also which is what I do. I was just curious about VCA's packaging. Unfortunately, I don't have either boutiques in my city so I have to do a lot of online shopping, but all my experiences have been great on both ends. I have heard/read more horror story experiences of online shopping with Cartier, but luckily I've never experienced it. All my items have come without issues.
However, I do agree that VCA has been more impressive overall in their packaging and their after sales customer service. Two times the online SA has called me to answer my emails about items so that was something special!!

I just purchased a necklace and the packaging wasn’t great (compared to Cartier I mean). I had to choose between a white box or a travel pouch. I had an extra jewelry box from Bulgari, so I just went with the travel pouch for travel. I am surprised they don’t just provide both. I mean, it’s a bit stingy considering how much we pay for these pieces.
When did you make the purchase?
The jewelry box my SA showed me didn’t look like that at all, which was why I opted for the travel pouch instead.
Oh darn, you could have all of that and travel pouches after the delivery- just no cleaning kits available.
I made all 3 of my first purchases ever from VCA from 4/18 - 5/8/23.
The packaging and wrapping is more impressive than Cartier in my opinion, but honestly I think Cartier travel pouches have better quality. Boxes - they are different and comparable in my opinion as they have their own signature quality.
Here’s a pic of one of the ring pouches below along with the bracelet pouch. Cartier’s bracelet pouch has a pillow inside and also two slots - can be used for rings or earrings. However, the earring pouches come in a pair with only one pouch each.
I think you can try to email Customer Relations with your order number and try to see if they can send you what you would like or stop in a boutique at some point because I think you do deserve better for the money spent. These things are a dime a dozen for them.
However, I do think most companies have a separate online service and in-store service so it might not be something they can accommodate, but it doesn’t hurt to try.
In retrospect, I felt more neglected when I got in-person service at Cartier (although I got the red carpet with my first purchase in the store) but because I had zero expectations, and I didn’t know better because I was never part of the Forum.
After learning of their operations, I know how to get the items they don’t give you or request them.
P.S. The pouches look identical! However, in person the bracelet pouch is visibly bigger!
