Thanks for the heads up on the spotting.

Hers looks a bit more purple-ish than mine, like the ones I saw in the store that were called berry. She described it as wine/burgundy though, which is how I would describe mine. Mmmm... hard to say.

I GOT MY BESACE SACCA EASY YESTERDAY!!! Yay! It was raining here yesterday and I had to go out last night so I took it for it's first test drive in the rain and it passed with flying colors!

It's so roomy and lightweight. I love the coated canvas- I got the black and it looks like patent unless you look at it up close. I wouldn't say that about the other colors. They do look like canvas- not that that's bad- I love the other colors. I may just have to get another...

I'll try to post some pix if I get motivated:smile1:

Jesskaz, I am loving your new beauties--esp the Besace. Can I bother you for some larger pics and detail shots of that bag?

Is the Besace the same as the "G" Bag that Gwenyth is posing with in the adverts?

It's interesting that Tod's has a "besace". Yves Saint Laurent also has a besace messenger bag in their collection. I thought the word is Italian for "bag" but it is actually French!

Hi- thanks! I took an inside shot or two that I can post. I'll describe the inside- it's a big bucket with a divider that is not quite in the center, so one side is roomier than the other. That side has a huge zip pocket on the wall, and that's about it. There is a detachable natural color canvas shoulder strap- a major selling point for me! It is the same bag in the Gwyenth ads. It comes in black, blue, green, yellow white and violet.

So far, I love it!:heart:

In those pix of the inside- EVERYTHING I carry is in the bag! It's so roomy you can hardly see the stuff. There's an umbrella, makeup pouch, camera, phone, wallet, keys, travel mug, some papers and other junk, and my nylon shopping bag that stuffs into it's own pouch. And there's room for more! Heee!

It's a Tod's Decoupage, bought in 2006. I also have the slightly bigger version in black (can be seen if you click my name and then public profile). I love this style and wished they kept it and did more colors (also did a tan and cream, I think) as the shoulder strap and short handle makes it very easy to grab and go!

The leather is wonderful as after so many years of wear (though not used all the time) it really hardly shows any signs of use, which is why I love the older styles of Tod's a little more.

DesigningStyle, your girellis are beautiful!! Same time period as the Decoupage.
