Thanks so much for the information! I'll be at a Tod's outlet next month, so I'll keep on an eye for this bag...A nice chocolate brown or tan would be very tempting.

Although this leather looks very durable, my one concern - how much and how quickly do the corners wear (as you mentioned in your previous post)?

I have carried some of my Mikys, yes I have / had many :blushing:, for an entire season daily with no signs of wear at all. I baby my bags (not that the Miky needs to be babied), but I never set them down on the grown or rub up against walls carelessly. I also wipe them down with a leather moisturizer (you know th wipes to clean car seats?), every couple of weeks and if I get something on a bag (rare, but w/ 3kids...), I clean it up immediately. I have seen some on eBay with the corners worn thru to the wire and wonder what they must have down to that poor bag to get it that worn!!! Drag along the pavement?? Example

That is from a current listing on eBay. Unbelievable!! Pity such a great color.

This one actually says the bag may be NWTs!!!:nuts::nuts:!!!

That is not easy to do, it looks like clean cut could have been with a knife???

The Miky is very durable, you need not worry, they hold up very well!
Cheers,

LT Bag Lady - "Interesting" pix! What a pretty bag but what abuse.....NWT????

So, the Mikys and Rodeos are made of pebble leather? That type of leather is very durable. What a relief!

I'll let you know if I do snag one next month....

I was going to ask if the Rodeo was pebbled leather..thanks for photo Isabel. I'll look for these next trip to the outlet store. But I'm truly on a ban. I need to use the three new bags I've bought since August for a while before I think about adding any.

There are smooth calf leather Mikys but I have never seen a Rodeo in smooth calf leather.

This style has smooth on the most of the bag and grain on the pockets, scratched too easily so I sold it.

Here is a Zip Miky in suede, pony hair and leather. Loved this bag but never got around to carrying her (I preferred the LT choc suede one in my avatar) so i sild her, I still think about her...:crybaby: Here she is for reference.

What product do you use? I have always been afraid to use anything on my Micky - please advise, I'll put it on my shopping list!

As for the durability, I am careful, but not expressly so. Mine has held up so well! Right now it is looking for lack of a better word, somewhat dry - so any thoughts would be most welcome!

Isabel, are most of your Mikys medium size or large? I find that although I like medium to large bags, the medium Mikey is plenty big enough for me (with the depth of it plus the 4 outside pockets). But I suppose sometime in the future I could decide I'd like a large one.

I like the Zip Miky and the Rodeo in the Grande which is 15 x 10 x 6 the most. I do like the Media for going out b/c I do not need to carry as much.
The Miky Nomade you have has easier access to the inside so the Media is big enough. I find the opening on the Zip Media too small, the zips scrap my wallet (cons of metal zippers). The Nomade Tote is really nice, the center compartment makes it neater than the d bag, IMHO, the outside pockets seal the deal!
Cheers,

Interesting that there are multiple sizes that are categorized as large in Miky. Last time I was at the outlets they had medium and large Mikys. I didn't look closely at them as I'd just bought my first Miky three weeks prior and wanted something different. But the large looked substantially bigger than the medium size.

i went back and forth with the pashmy bauletta in nylon...it's been in my closet since the beginning of september and i just took it out to use and i'm not sure i'm still in love with it...i loved it enough to buy and return it 2x and i don't know what to do! maybe because it's so expensive i think i'll find something "better" for the price, but, then i look at it and love it again...please go gentle on me with feedback (tomorrow's my bday, so be nice!!!! just kidding you all always are!)...but would love some thoughts!
thanks!:wlae::wlae::wlae::wlae::wlae::wlae:

I hate to be negative but here goes. From my experience as an indecisive person when I've bought something and returned it, then repurchased it, I end up returning it again. I always decide there was a reason I returned it in the first place. I don't know what you paid for the bag but I expect it was quite a bit. For me personally, I'd much rather have beautiful leather at these prices. But I know the nylon bags are popular and lightweight. Just my opinion. Happy birthday.

Sorry, I will never buy a fake Tod's! No one can replicate that kind of quality and workmanship. Tod's bags quality are just too good. No one can fake that.

By the way everyone! I already own a T bag in a rich burgundy brown leather. And now I want another Tod's. I'm torn between these two, the nylon pashmy with the drawstring closure or the restyled D in leather.

Which would you choose? HELP!

williamwu139, Please do not promote your website here, it is against the rules, besides, your bags are all fakes! We do not like fakes and never will buy them either.

Please stop, otherwise you will be banned from the mods!

Dear Songofthesea,

No problem with your indecisiveness. I suffer from that too. Of course we all want to get what we pay for right?

If you love the pashmy nylon then go for it. Don't keep worrying that you'll get something better just because it's "just" nylon.

If you love the bag then keep it. Lately nylon bags, especially designer ones are also keeping up in terms of durability and beauty. I've heard prada bags still look new after 5 years of use.

I also read that the tod's nylon is now waterproofed so that means a great bag rain or shine! Although some leather bags hold up in the rain, would you use your leather bag even in a slight drizzle?

If I were you I'd keep it. My next purchase will be a Tod's Pashmy Nylon (i have a pashmy leather and I don't think I'll use it in the rain). Plus we don't have a Tod's store where I live so I'll have to wait til my next trip to anywhere where there's a Tod's store.

Personally I've been wanting Prada Nylon for so long because I've read it's value for money. What prevented me from buying one is the lack of feminine and useful designs (ie outside pockets etc). They look so unisex.

Good thing tod's nylons are really made for fashionistas like us. And even if it's nylon, all the zippers and the handle drop makes me really happy - the perfect travel bag! Plus it's so lightweight!

Good luck!
