To Twilly or not to Twilly?

I was anti-Twilly, too--until I came across the pictures in this thread: https://forum.purseblog.com/threads/what-would-you-do-with-birkin-handles-like-these.993283/
Now, I wouldn't dream of carrying my bag without Twillys on the handles, at least not very often. It's my understanding that it costs a small fortune to have the handles replaced since the bag has to be taken almost completely apart in the process. That's not a repair expense I ever want to face, not to mention they probably wouldn't match exactly.

I love the look on other bags, but I'm just not a fan. I have a Bolide 31 and a Kelly 32 both in Noir and I don't worry about them. My B 30 is Feu and she makes me a little nervous....

I use twilly only on light colour bags for protection purpose, and I choose tone-on-tone colour twilly for subtle look. However for colour Etoupe I am not sure if I can wear her naked. Does anyone has experience with carrying naked Etoupe (Clemance or Togo) without getting the handle dirty?

Hi there - Is it true then that the black B handles will not get dirty? I just got a new B30 n I like it bare. I only want to use a twilly for fun or to change things up and not so much for protection. Can you share how your black handles have worn over the years?

Hi! My Noir bag handles look new. I don’t touch them right after applying hand cream, and I rotate my bags often.
Enjoy your bag!

I like twillies but can barely stand the look of twillies on my bag handles. However, after my swift kelly handle started showing scuff marks where the metal links come into contact with the handle l do see the benefit of twillies and startes using them to prevent further damage. Still prefer my bags naked though

No to a Twilly on the handle but I like to tie it to the bag as a bow sometimes to add some playfulness or as link to the outfit or as a tiny pop of colour. I like to dress rather monochromatic with the bag in the same colour Scheme- think eg an all black outfit (maybe with a white blouse and / or red lipstick) with black bag with a Twilly with black/red/ blues.
