To Twilly or not to Twilly?

I wear my dark bags without but the light colours I prefer to wear a twilly. I have seen some of my friend’s bags handles which had residue of makeup, darkening, rubbed off leather (that was Dior one). I feel like I am much more careful but I wouldn’t want to make dirty light colored bag.

I started out with twillys but quickly got tired of them. They attract too much attention to the understated nature that I like about B and K. I also detest dirty twilly. I can’t bear touching the same twilly day in and day out, but washing one daily (or even weekly) is burdensome and can’t be good to the silk. So no twilly on my bag handles, they go on my neck ;)

I love collecting twillys, sometimes I collect the same design in different CWs (e.g. The Three Graces!). But having twillys on bags would depend on my mood (mainly) and the bag in question. Somehow, I prefer my Ks and Cs naked. But for Birkins, I don't mind them with twillys. Strange this but I love my Bolide with twillys as I find Bolide to be too plain without one. For my Picotins, I don't mind the odd twillys (tied as ribbons) now and then as I see Picotins as fun/playful bags.

I vote No Twilly! You have a beautiful bag as is.

Personally, I hate twilly’s on my bags. I understand if there is a functional purpose but don’t like twilly’s for aesthetic reasons. They draw attention away from the classy nature of the bag.

For me, without! That said, I think it's all about your personal aesthetic and IMHO can look great on the right bag/outfit. I've started sometimes doing it on my Barenia Faubourg B25 in an attempt to slow the darkening of the handles to a rate similar to the rest of the bag, but already growing tired of it...both the tedium of the process and the more "frilly" look it brings my bag.

I like twilly's for a more "functional" purpose, mostly to protect handles. I think it definitely gives a different vibe/look to the bag and I do love it when people wrap their handles in a contrasting color to their bags. That pop of color is very fun!
