Congrats, honeybeez! Your ring is gorgeous and it looks amazing on your finger! So blingy and the diamond looks bigger than the real carat size. Just perfect! Also, congrats on your pregnancy as well! :hugs:

Should we start a fan club for this tiffany solitaire classic? Haha. Seems alot of ppl in tpf here adores this setting...n it works for any carat size ring! Unbelievable setting which really shows off every single size diamond no matter 0.5, 1.5 or above 2 carat!

There's nothing "small" or "modest sized" about a 1.3 carat diamond. I guess my 1.15 is like a tiny speck or something.

And I agree, your diamond looks so big!!! I would recommend not putting on lotion while wearing your ring. Taking it off when you sleep, shower, do dishes, household chores, etc. otherwise, you can always take it to Tiffany to give it a thorough and beautiful cleaning!

Keep it clean, use warm water and dish soap (dawn if you have it) or a little rubbing alcohol and dry it VERY well, especially under the diamond.

Don't wear itwhen you sleep or clean or shower. I don't wear my rings when Im travelling (flying) or in my house.

NO - that is the danger of THIS forum!! I didn't even know about upgrades until I came here... and when I got my .80 from my DH I was sooooo happy 8 years ago... if you'd asked me my DREAM ring would have been 1.0 carats. It's the one negative about hanging out here - a definite skewing of real life and sometimes, sometimes I wish I hadn't read as much as I have here b/c it is so easy to think your ring isn't big enough if you're exposed to enough that are bigger. Too many insanely beautiful rings here and there is ALWAYS someone revealing a bigger/more expensive one. I seriously think I won't open e-ring threads any more after I get my upgrade so that I never have shrinkage issues again! B/C in my every day life, with the friends I hang with, 1.15 would be considered a STUNNER... 1.3 HUGE. This forum is a "bad" influence on me!!! I've definitely let it cloud my judgement. Don't get me wrong, it's fun... but a slippery slope!

Your ring is gorgeous Ame ... and Honeybeez don't dream of your future ring too much or you won't really enjoy this one - enjoy the gorgeous rock you just brought home!! It's BEAUTIFUL!

Oh I'm plenty happy with my stone! I was kind of being sarcastic when I said that. Her comments on her stone being small and modest rubbed me a little wrong. I won't be upgrading for a LONG time.

But you are absolutely right: Enjoy the one you have NOW, even though yknow it's so small and modest. These are incredible luxuries you have, most people owuld kill for a 1.3ct stone OR a Hermes bag, she got BOTH at once!

If you cannot see what you have now as great and wonderful, you might as well return it and wait til you can afford the one you really wanted.

Such a gorgeous ring!!!! I swear the Classic Tiff setting makes diamonds look SOO big!

And now I'm going over to the H thread to check out your Bolide! The BOlide is my favorite bag and I got one last June in Paris. So far we totally share the same taste! :)

Actually i am comparing my 1.32 with the 2.05 i tried before in the stores... :)
Then of course the 2.05 is more stunning n attractive. I hope i can upgrade to that one fine day. Now the 1.32 is sufficient n good enough. I havent wear the ring out yet. Need a little time to get used to it... From not wearing any rings on my finger to suddenly a diamond ring. Lol... N somemore my fingers r quite swollen now, the diamond will look even smaller. Thank u all for the nice comments and sharing my new joy. I wish everyone a happy valentine's day and may god bless us with more diamonds. Hehe. :)

I totally agree! I never heard of an upgrade until I read about it on TPF! And now my DH calls me his "little carat hunter"! :smile1: Like I said in another thread: I even talked my MIL into an upgrade! :smile1:
I do sometimes feel really guilty - my DH gave me this gorgeous ring, which really is a dream ring, but after spending so much time here, I sometimes wish (never said that out loud, though) he had gone a little bigger. :shame:

I usually keep those in my purse for if I am out and about and need to take my rings off and don't have my boxes with me. I keep my rings in separate pouches though.
