Three Questions for LV VIPs, I am curious to know...

^^I want to shop with you-I dont know if I can hang but I would love to. Are you in New york?

We had a standard black poodle growing up. He was so smart.

Nope, AZ. I bought the Artsy from New York because I wanted to use a SAKS credit and the NY store was the only one with an Ivory Artsy. But, if YOU live in NY, I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Elva at SAK's 5th Avenue store. I guess there are two LVs in that store, she works in Lifestyles on the 3rd floor.

Every purchase you make at LV is put under your name. (For example, I was chatting up my SA yesterday and he said, "Hey, did you buy an Emp. Artsy in NY?" Whoopsy, didn't think he's see that!!!

The company figures the total based on total purchases for the year, but I don't know if my Paris purchases are included.

The company NEVER reveals the amount one needs to spend to become a VIC. Why? I don't know.

However, I think getting "chummy" with your SA and SM is the fast track to VIP status... meaning the company may not think you are a VIC but it's the store who decides who gets invitations, special treatment, etc. I've seen people on this site pass on getting a bag because it was not made in France or be angry because the SA would not go through their entire inventory to find a MIF. I called my SA yesterday and said, "Does that really happen?" I mean I understand not wanting a display bag but come on, who cares where it was made? I can assure they are all of the same quality. My SA busted out laughing and said it happens all the time and it irrates the socks off them." I think being "relatively" low maintainence helps your store see you as a VIP as well.

Tomorrow we are going down for the full VIP treatment - which is hours in the store looking at all the merch they are holding to show me, getting my dog escorted into the mall (the mall does not allow dogs that walk on the floor, but LV sends an SA to meet me at the door), picking up Mon Monogram NF GM, having Champagne and hanging with my friends because my SA and the SM and I are friends. It's not why I'm friends with them but I think it secures my VIC status on a low buying year.

Well, I'm one of those irritating people. All my hard earned money goes to LV bags...and I prefer one made in France. I always ask for that, but I ask VERY nicely. I've been born and raised in California and I simply feel that if I'm paying several hundred or several thousand for a bag that is a supposedly a french brand, I would prefer it be made in that country. I'm not saying there is any difference in quality, and there is nothing wrong in purchasing something that was made in the U.S.A. and stimulates the economy. But honestly, what's the fantasy about buying a bag that was made in a factory located one hour away from me? LV gives me that fantasy of being somewhere I haven't had the opportunity to travel to yet. I think if I fork over my hard earned cash, that I'm allowed to ask, right?

Here's a perk that comes with being a VIP to your store. I spent 4 hours at LV and a full bottle of champagne later, I did some major damage. Here's a quick peek at some of the fun. Check out Mrs. Poo-del, my standard poodle - surrounded by "her" SAs.. heheheh... I love that they escort her into the mall for me. She loves going to LV and they love having her. She has on her LV collar, leash and bandeau.

Thanks!!!! She's a doll and such a good shopper. We always hit LV Last because we spend HOURS there. She just goes in and crashes under the table and comes out when someone wants to play!

@ParisLv when you're in Paris how do they know youre a VIC?

1st - I'm in Paris for 2 weeks every year and I have an SA.
2nd - My purchases are in the computer
3rd - This year I was in Paris with/for LV. I was invited to the family home, was given a full tour of the original workshop (which is still producing) and I got to have dinner in Louis Vuitton's home at his dining room table!! Then our driver took us to the Champs Elysees store and they put us in a private room.

OOooooooh Life is good!!!

Beautiful Standard Poodle.
We had a beautiful Standard also and she was the best. Her name was Tosh.
She was a big girl weighing almost 80 pounds and I miss her everyday.
We are thinking of getting another one soon. Please give your girl a kiss for me

My girl is a Fatty Patty - like her Mom!!! She weighs 60 but should weigh a little less. I guess sleeping in LV isn't really exercise! I'm so sorry you no longer have your poodle. Poodles are the best medicine!!! I just went through pondering getting a 2nd one but I'm afraid they'd take over and vote me off the island! hehhee... I'll give her a big smooch for you! That's for the sweet comments about my girl.

Sorry, I meant "thanks" for the sweet comments... This forum needs Spell and grammer check!!!!!!! Well, at least for me!

Do you know if you purchase LV overseas, does it show on the computer at your local store?

I am not a VIC yet - haha - but I have been in a VIP room. It was upstairs & there was a VIP level & a room with leather lounges, a flatscreen tv & bags & accessories in it. The store area had all the exotic bags & fine jewellery & the room had new releases, which at the time were all the Empreinte range.

I was with my husband & 2 children & they offered drinks & snacks but we had just eaten so didn't see the need.

I did feel special, but I still would have spent the same amount if I was upstairs or downstairs!
