Well I’m impressed with their turnaround time - they received my bag yesterday, told me it would be processed by the 16th and I just got an email that it’s done!

I am, however, disappointed by the payout option. It’s less than half my commission amount. I didn’t expect it to be super close but I expected it to be worth not waiting for the consignment items based on the cart hoarding and whatever else they haven’t fixed yet. But it’s not at all, I’ll be listing everything on consignment and hoping for the best when it’s a matter of $500 difference. Sigh, here go a brutal two months.

Good luck! I feel your pain. I took the direct pay out option on a few items where the difference between the direct pay out and the consignment pay out was relatively small. Most of the items though, I let go to consignment. The consignment pay out %'s are so low, that it is depressing and I'm kind of wishing that I'd held back most items and listed them on poshmark instead.

Yeah I only send them stuff I can list for over $300 to get the 90% payout, otherwise I'd rather just list it on posh/ebay where it can't be hoarded.

Super annoyed when items get hoarded right through a promo...there's 20% off the whole site right now and some people still don't pull the trigger on things in their cart. If they're not going to buy it with a discount when are they going to buy it?

I was just thinking the same thing. Though luckily I logged in and two of the items I just sent in sold so I have $400 headed to my PayPal in two weeks. But if the others don’t sell today I have a feeling they’ll be sitting there for 80 days.

Did we discuss what “unavailable” means? One of my shoes popped up as that today and I think it meant they’re in store somewhere but I can’t remember. I wish there was a credit history somewhere on the site but there’s not that I know of. Am I missing it?

"unavailable" can mean several things--it can mean a buyout but then an immediate credit should show up. If you asked for an edit to your listing, it will be marked "unavailable" while that's done. OR--this is what happened to me and it's not resolved yet--irritated!--if someone flags your item as fake, they will mark it unavailable while they investigate. Someone flagged one of my pairs of shoes, which are most definitely authentic, and now the item has been down for 5 days. I have someone from the LUXE team checking what is going on with the relist but the whole thing is a little ridiculous. They shouldn't take the item down before investigating. I am a known reliable supplier now.

I don’t think they were cashed out immediately but that’s why I was hoping for a credit history. I had a couple returns come though so they all came in at the same time as my bag. I could sit down and figure it out but I wish they’d just track it somewhere. It’s not likely they were flagged - they’re just Stuart Weitzman Heels. I might chat them tomorrow and see if they can let me know. Thanks for the help!

Just a heads up, I learned that unavailable can mean they’re in a goody box. It was shown as that until the buyer decided to purchase them. If they declined them, they would be put back on the site and it doesn’t count against your 84 days.
Oh that's interesting. I didn't know they would be putting Luxe items in goody boxes. Not sure I like that because it's essentially allowing a return that you have to absorb rather than the usual perk that they take back returns and you still get paid out--one of the pros in using TU to consign despite the still significant cons.

Well these were Stuart Weitzman sandals so i don’t think they’re a luxe brand. I would agree - they shouldn’t do that with Luxe brands but as far as I know, they’re not.

So I have now taken to asking the online chat CS to check some of my constantly reserved items to see if one person keeps reserving or if they are going to different carts. Found out a single customer was hoarding one of my dresses from Oct 4 to 22. If a single customer is hoarding they will either just dump the cart or contact the customer and ask her to buy or release. Also make sure you keep complaining about the reserve system if it bothers you. Per Claire, "I know that it's frustrating but it is helpful for us to continue hearing your comments in making our case for changes."

They don't do a very good job of advertising promotions. There is one today for Halloween, I only got notification on my app. They don't email it and don't advertise it on the it. That seems to have happened with the last few promos too.

Happened to me before as well. I saw the pop up on my phone but one time I didn’t memorize the code and couldn’t find it. That notification was gone when I clicked on it. So frustrating. But every once in a while I do get an email.

I always end up screenshotting the notifications as soon as they pop up because I usually forget the code, and it's hit or miss if they send an email.

Additional 20% off on ThredUP right now.

Sent 2 LUXE items in. A MJ bag sold within 24 hours; happy about this as these are not as popular anymore and there are a lot of MJ bags for sale. I priced it to sell though.

My Prada shoes have been in someone’s cart almost continuously. I wish they would just buy them with the 20% off! [emoji3]
