Tory Burch Thoughts on Lee Radziwill small & “large”?

Hi ladies! I’m sad to share that my bag arrived damaged so I’m sending it back and will need to wait for my exchange to be processed. The new one probably won’t arrive before my trip next week. I think I received a return because it wasn’t packaged as well as my first TB bag, the hardware looked a little scratched already and there was a scuff on the front, and it wasn’t even gift wrapped like I ordered. :sad: I’m so disappointed!

I know the hardware is not horribly scratched but does a new bag come looking like that? It just looked a little roughed up to me already.

I couldn’t resist seeing how my things would fit though. This is everything that I was able to fit minus my phone since I needed it to take pictures, but it does fit in the back slip pocket with all of these things in the middle compartments.

The only way I could carry this bag fastened is if I cut back on these items, which would be fine for a date night since I don’t need AirPods (in the gold MK case) and could probably leave my foldable Raybans in the car or do without them entirely. I could also lose the card case and use the slots in the bag. It’s not imperative that I need to be able to close it anyways. But I think my disappointment is clouding my judgment on how much I like this bag. As well as not fully unwrapping it since it’s going right back. I guess we’ll see when the replacement comes. Sigh.

Oh no! That's a bummer. There's always a risk ordering online—especially right now, you just never know. Unfortunately, I can't speak for their online service since I received my Radziwill fresh from the store. In my case, it looked great but even then, it wasn't overly packaged and mostly unwrapped. Curious if @Debbie65 or anyone else who's ordered from TB more recently have any POV. For how much they're worth, I would absolutely want my TB to be pristine.

Idk if any other Petite owners can speak on this, since I have the "small" version. I definitely treat mine differently since there's plenty of room and I still have room to button if needed. I use pouches for smaller items and I use the divider zip so everything feels pretty protected. I'm also comfortable leaving the belt loose and keeping it unfastened. I quite prefer Lee's loose & open belt look personally.

Hope TB can rectify the situation properly—it is such a darling bag. BUT if it ain't for you, it's ain't for you. Plenty of beautiful luxe fish in the sea. :heart:

I unfortunately don’t live near a Tory Burch so I’m only able to order online. But in May I received another bag and wallet from them (separate orders) and both were well wrapped and came in gift boxes like I ordered, so this bag was a big let down.

Hopefully the next one will be better -brand new without any damage. Then I’ll be able to fully unwrap it and play around with it more. I love both the open, slouchy look (although I’m also okay with no slouch) as well as the fastened look. But in the day-to-day, I leave all my bags open (unless they’re flap bags) because I like easy access.

I probably should have just returned it and reordered a new one to get it sooner. Now I have to take the damaged bag to FedEx tomorrow and wait for them to receive it (not even just get shipping confirmation) before they’ll send the replacement. And they only gave me complimentary 2-day shipping because I asked for it.

Awww.:sad: Sorry to hear your bag was not perfect. It should be. Perhaps you were sent a display even though there is still some packaging on the bag. None of my Lee Radizwells were ordered directly from Tory Burch's website but I did order just 1 mini bucket bag directly from Tory and it arrived nicely protected and packaged. My brown LR Double was ordered from Neimans along with the white petite bag. Every square inch of each bag had outer protection on it. They were covered with thin white tissue paper, section by section and inside the bags were properly stuffed. It took me FOREVER to remove every piece of covering of paper but I wouldn't have it any different as I'm picky and want my items to arrive to me prestine! :heart: My navy LR Double and my LR Double in green suede were both purchased in person. The green suede had no protection and was the display inside TB boutique. I didn't care as it looked prestine to me and I wanted to take that bag home that day. Lol The navy was purchased inside Saks and had about the same amount of packaging your petite did. My clutch had no packaging protection if I recall correctly. I purchased it inside the TB boutique.

I hope your exchange is perfect! You will enjoy the bag! They are made very well and imo the materials and craftsmanship are pretty right on to the high end luxe brands. Try using a nice gold crossbody thin chain on your petite! It looks really good! I'm using one from LV on my white petite. My LV SA was nice enough to let me buy the chain as a "repair" eventhough I didn't own the bag that came with that chain. They had the chain already in stock inside the LV Boutique. If you are interested in seeing how it looks I can post a pic for you, just let me know. Coach has a nice chain alternative as well and I'm sure you can find one you like on Amazon too!.

My TB LR in petite I tend to always keep open as it carries more items for me that way. If I try to close it when its totally full, the buckle pops open. I can only keep the buckle closed if I carry less. Regardless I prefer the look of it open for casual outfits and when I want to be more conservative I will close the buckle, which means I don't bring my card holder or my LV keyclay. Fortunately I have the Samsung Z3 Flip cell phone so putting my phone inside is not an issue.

Whatever the case was, there's no way I would have been happy if I kept that bag. It sounds like the bag that you did order directly from Tory Burch was just as well packaged as my Kira and wallet were, which is what I was expecting for this bag. I've been tracking my return and it looks like it arrived to their warehouse this morning so I'm going to call Customer Service to see if they can get my new bag shipped out today so that it can arrive before we leave on Thursday. Fingers crossed!

A gold chain sounds like a nice touch for a dressier look - feel free to share! I do like chain straps that have a leather piece in the middle for more comfortable carrying. But I think I'll be fine between the top handle and leather crossbody strap. I just want my new bag!

Ask TB if they can do a courtesy overnight shipping for you. Afterall they sent you a bag with flaws. It's not like you originally ordered at the last minute for your trip. You ordered on time, but since they shipped you a flawed bag you are now exchanging it and racing the clock. Hopefully they will do that for you. That would be great customer service on their part to make it up to you.

I was told that they manually go through all of the returns in the warehouse so it could take 3-5 business days before they get to mine and send out my new bag... They emailed the warehouse to see if that process could be expedited for my order and they'll be following up in the next 24 hours. I'm not getting my hopes up and I will keep this in mind if I ever consider ordering directly from them again. It certainly won't be anytime soon.

Well I haven’t heard directly from Tory Burch yet but they gave me a $50 refund on my order yesterday and then this morning I got an update that my package is out for delivery. So maybe they really did expedite the process and overnighted me a new bag. I guess I’ll know soon enough!
