Thanks Americandreaming. Every single time I find a Handbag I like, it’s discontinued. Such is life. :oh: And from reading the forum, it sounds like Coach sometimes discontinues popular bags.

The Marlie over at Coach outlet, similar to the Cassie, is ok, side-by-side with the Cassie it doesn’t look quite as nice, but it does have some features that are better. But right now it isn’t in the colors I’m looking for.

I was looking at my coach Cassie last night and noticed these pinkish colored rubs on the corner of my bag on the front part only. I thought it was some color transfer and used the coach cleaner but it looks like the leather is peeling. Has anyone else had this issue? I purchased this online from the coach outlet December last year and do not carry it everyday due to covid. I was surprised to see this. Will coach fix this issue?

I would email customer service with pictures and see what they could do.

Just as an update, I ended up going to the retail store as customer service said I could because it’s a retail bag. Upon going to the retail store, they told me no I can’t do anything there because I had bought it online through outlet so any issues I need to go to the outlet to resolve.The manager couldn’t explain why the pinkish colors on the corners but she gave me options on what I could do. 1. They could send off for repair no guarantees it can be fixed 2. Get a credit for the amount I paid and get a different bag or 3. Go to outlet and see if they can re-order it and replace it. I honestly still wanted the Cassie bag so I decided to replace the bag. The manager actually went above and beyond and actually did the replacement without making me go to the outlet store so I’m grateful that I’m getting a replacement. I did get a replacement afterwards but asked for another one to be ordered because I wasn’t happy with the replacement Cassie. So as of right now just waiting for another Cassie but so happy with the customer service I received from the store.

Curious, but I heard that the Coach Rogue was discontinued for a bit too before they brought it back. Was wondering how long that was and if that could possibly be what’s happening with the Cassie (I can cross my fingers and hope right?).

Also random side note ask, but can someone weigh their Cassie 19? Mine is a little over 1.5lbs with all the straps. I bought mine second hand from a seller on Mercari and I’ve inspected the bag, compared it to my regular sized Cassies, and I’m 99% sure it’s real, but I never touched the original Chalk Cassie 19 and the feeling of the leather is slightly different from my Aurora Pink and my Black Cassies even though the lining and packaging was all the same as the authentic one. I’m just paranoid based off this super good dupe I saw someone post on RepLadies as well as the fact that this seller has so many Chalk Coach Cassie 19s? They have hundreds of sales of various contemporary designer bags and items though too. Not sure if this is just something I should ask on the Authentication thread (sorry I’m new).

You can post photos of your bag and have it authenticated by TPF Coach authenticators. They are very knowledgeable about Coach bags and have so much knowledge and many many years of Coach experience between them. Check out page 1 of the thread to see what info and type of photos are needed.

They recently created the coach outlet for Canada online as one the store manager at the retail store said it’s new. Previously I would order on the US site and pay USD. They have the Coach Cassie in chalk and the Cassie 19 in colorblock for those in Canada that are looking. The price is 50% off which was the same discount when it was in retail store. I might wait to see if it gets discounted further as I wouldn’t mind adding another Cassie.

Dam thanks for posting! I was looking at both of these colors ways on the second-hand market recently and these are way less than what they're being sold for.

I have not had that issue with my Cassie corner rubbing to reveal a different color. I don't wear it daily though. I will say the glazing cracked at the back of the flap where it cracks for everyone, the same spot that the pochette Metis cracks. I went into the store and looked at all the bags they had on display at the time(long time ago now), they all had cracks there so I figured its just inevitable with this design.

I honestly don’t know why I had color and rubbing just on the front considering I didn’t use my bag everyday. I also started to notice a very tiny crack in the glazing but coach told me this is normal and happens over time. I was very lucky to get a brand new bag as a replacement so I’m super happy with the outcome.
