So I was a total fail with Coach online and I store as thought I snagged the Cassie 19 in chalk right when they first got marked at 50 % off…. Literally at midnight my time I bought it and called next day snd was told store confirmed it and will be shipping …. Then they never shipped and order was cancelled. Was told they had it on hold for a current customer and if they didn’t take it they would ship to me… I can’t believe they would get the order from coach.com to send me it then they sell it to another?! I was so disappointed. Called stores near me to do a search for it. Spoke to managed her in Arrowhead location in Phoenix and she never called me back… so I just gave up. Them I just nabbed a chalk Cassie 19 on EBay in new unused condition for 155.00 on EBay. I feel fortunate…. Very reputable long term seller who shared they got it from Dillards… I do believe 19’s will surface at the outlets…., just a matter of when exactly as I bet they’ll sell out in a minute and I don’t want to deal with let downs from a coach cancellation again…

I’m so sorry you had to go through that but I’m happy you got one in the end!

It was such a dash to get the Cassie’s at the latest discount that I can only imagine how it’ll be when/if they reach the outlet.

So, I just got my coach cassie! it’s sooo nice!!
I’ve wanted it for months but it was never on the outlet site when i looked and wasn’t on sale at Coach Canada. So i settled for the Marlie because it seemed a cute alternative. Well, look at the difference in quality!!! The Marlie is nice material but the hardware is very low end compared the Cassie!!!
I would sell the Marlie now that I finally got the Cassie on sale but I’m a sucker for that jewelled green. and the top handle is lovely.
Also, I think the Marlie sits at a nicer spot. I’m 5’8 for reference. I like my bags high on the hip though.
anyway, i can’t recommend the Cassie enough!!

I too have a Marlie and like her just as much as my 2 Cassies. I think the Marlie is a bit more casual than the Cassie and I usually wear her on weekends when I'm running errands.

This is annoying. Because that is a Cassie 19 they sold for $147 in December. That was the twilight multiblock Cassie 19 that was trimmed in burgundy. Upcrafting is another way to jack up the price of bags. I happen to own the that bag (not the upcrafted one.). We know they retail for $295 USD. The Cassie 19 is a lovely little bag; I just don't think it's worth $450. After all, it's still pebbled leather.

Also selling vintage that are in subpar condition for 495 to 685??! ….. as we can all find close to unused for a reasonable price…. I have 13 vintage now that are all unused or little use just stored condition for 80.00 or less…. Courts, station bags, city bags, ramblers …. Two with original and boxes and wrapping….. now I feel they are preying on people….. sort of irks me.

You are kind to say that… and hope nobody else has that experience … I’m usually on the fence and gladly wait for the outlet to get the retail collection. But Cassie and Cassie 19 was such a special bag and I do believe the most popular Coach bag in the last decade… even more so than the Rogue (and I’m a Rogue nut) so the scramble to grab them is nuts…. I was disappointed in coach online BUT more disappointed in my local store as I’ve bought so much from them. Spoke to the SA then manager about then neither call me back? Im just thankful I found an honest reseller on EBay sold for a reasonable price… she said she bought it at Dillards but at 155 how the heck did she make money ? I’m worried condition will be subpar but with her great reviews I’m thinking all will be ok.

Sometimes people just change their mind and sell something to get rid of it. It's better to sell and take a loss then leave something on a shelf and never use it. Waste of money.

Check the price tag when you get it. If it was marked down (and she didn't remove the sticker) it will have a barcoded sticker over the mfg. price tag. The last set of numbers on the sticker show the percentage it was marked down. They also have an additional % off the markdown (usually starts for non card holders last Wednesday of month, but hasn't happened in a few months) and on occasional holidays and also events for card holders so she may have gotten an additional discount. I've gotten a few of the 19s for $88.50 during those sales.

Or she may just wanted to rehome the bag as another said.

I sell beautiful bags at a fraction of my cost, as I just want to move it on, and not wait a long time for a sale. It isn’t unheard of, and sometimes the bags are better than those selling high…lol

If someone happens to make a little money, it's not nefarious. After all, there are listing fees, final value fees. Then there's gas money to go to the Post Office shipping materials. The average person has to pay more for shipping unless they have a business and they can do it in bulk and at a discounted price

I sell beautiful bags at a fraction of my cost, as I just want to move it on, and not wait a long time for a sale. It isn’t unheard of, and sometimes the bags are better than those selling high…lol

Same here. I use a bag a few times and if it isn't love I find it a new home. Usually they still have the padded wrapping on the zippers and leather tabs inside. I price a lot lower than my cost. If it's a new bag that I just don't plan to use and missed the return window I try to break even or just lose a little, but have lost a lot just to get it gone.

Exactly! If a bag is really worn out (which is rate), it's not even worth listing because of the fees. Some things I do send to Goodwill or salvation Army. But it wouldn't be anything that I'd be ashamed of carrying myself. And keep in mind that even if people ask for these really inflated prices for used items on posh or the bay, that doesn't mean they'll get it.

Sad to say that my Chalk 19 sale purchase fell through. I contacted Coach a few times after ordering as I got order cancellation emails for the Cassie and Swinger. Both times CS said to ignore those emails as Jax was out of stock but a local store is shipping my items.

Followed up today only to find out the order was cancelled on the 19th and that I was informed. Interesting considering my online account still says the items are being shipped and I didn't receive any communication from them on the 19th. Womp womp
