And YOU, dear lanit View attachment 4166096 lit the fire under my rear to get my grubby hands on the very same cw of ELeK!!
wow, bobkat, this ensemble is amazing on you! Look at that turquoise Trim! Is it chevre?

Well said! And same here, inspired by lala's picture. I exchanged my blue one to the green one! Such a beautiful picture, effortless chic. And you look absolutely nice in it as well.

mimi - we are so lucky the three of us to have chased down this colorway of lala's! congrats to you too for finding one!

Thank you, lanit! Yes, it is chevre courmandal. We are indeed lucky to have this magical cw of a unique shawl!

I’m happy to see your thread froufrou, and what a great idea. Here is a grail that I spotted years ago from our dear lala who has an enviable collection of h silks and bags, and I just adore her style and taste.

After spotting her green ELK, which I would never have stretched myself to wear, after nearly ten years of searching ( yep ten) one finally came up on ebay never worn and a decent price that I could live with. Over the years my hair coloring changed and happily I can now wear those beautiful greens and turquoise colors that I loved on others. You never know how Mother Nature lends a hand in both good ways and em, sometimes not so great. Be careful what you wish for.

It takes a bit of time to find things for this , I may have to make that my after dinner relaxation instead of online shopping !
Speaking of Lala , I was enabled by her to buy my red Turandot.
I asked her to post a casual styling of it and she came up with a great shot worn with a t shirt which was pivotal for me .
I've posted it a few times over the years , to show how it's aged with me I've located a 2103 photo .
And here it is today in 2108 , this is more casual and shows two of my usual scarf knots. A weave knot and the Markova knot . [ There's another enabler!]
Before I would have picked a blue top to show it with , because there's blue in the scarf , or looked for a tonal match .
I'm wearing a black top today ; black would have seemed discordant then and too harsh , but now I like the fact it's slightly off . More spontaneous and modern.
More about that Markova knot another time.
These are great pix! I agree it is super-fresh not to match a scarf to a shirt. I struggle with this, but I acknowledge the power! LOL

So in the end, this turned out to be not as difficult as I thought. I came to tpf owning only one H scarf, Fantasies Indiennes. I went through my collection and while many were seen here first and then sought after, none of them could be linked to one particular viewing or person, and the love/desire came slowly over time and repeat viewings.

There is only one that I saw on a member and was so instantly inspired that I knew I had to find it ASAP. While her coloring is quite different to mine, I knew it would work well on me as well. I had to have the design, in the exact same cw. I was in love. It wasn’t just the beauty of the scarf, but also and most especially the elan with which she wore it. I tend to only take scarf pics with more “formal” ties vs when I just chuck them on. I need to correct that. But I promise I do chuck this one on often and hope I’m channeling some of AnnaE’s wonderful style:

A horrid screenshot of her avatar, which is what did it for me:

And on me, L’Ivresse de L’Infini:

Your instincts were right, this L’Ivresse suits you so well and I do remember AnnaE posting it way back.
Maybe if she’s around she could put a photo of herself wearing it ?
I bought this at the time , red usually works on me but not when white and pink are around for some reason.Acte iII in red is the same story sadly.
Anyway suffice to say I’m in admiration of you lucky ones who look great in it.

Pavorotti inspired my search for TohuBohu in orange...

So glad you were inspired , it's the nicest Tohu Bohu shawl, along with the aubergine.
What an enabler Pavarotti was too, he loved red and orange Hermes shawls and I loved seeing him in them.
My first very pre love shawl was one he wore too .I didn't see him before I bought it, but he got there first in 95 and I acquired mine in 2010
Here like him I tried with the bright red just for fun. Maybe one for the guys !

Thank you! I’d love to see AnnaE post it again.

Really? I just saw the red Acte III and found the red cw to be more orange-y than pink-y. You look so lovely in orange. You tried it and it didn’t work? I’m so surprised!
