overland equipment donner...the messenger styles are great for the rides. If you take a backpack, you will probably have to hold your backpack or put it down on the floor of the ride.

I know there are awesome small messengers/purses out there, but when I go to D-land, the last thing I want to worry about is my bag! Too busy having fun!

On my last trip I brought a LeSportSac small hobo, but wound up buying this while in the park:

It has a ton of pockets, and can be worn cross-body which is something you will want to be hands free! This bag was under $30 and I still use it when I want a knock around bag that holds alot. (Otherwise, the Coach Swing Packs are nice too, but they don't hold as much.)

Edited to add: Don't forget, it was a lifesaver for me too, that there are lockers which are well-worth the cost to rent them. I like the ones on the promenade between CA Adventure and Disneyland.

Also, there are one or two shops (one on Main Street and one in Frontier Land) that will hold your purchases until the end of the day, or if you are staying on Property you can have purchases sent to your room.

wow thanks you guys!!!

i cant believe so many replied i wasnt expecting anyone to reply.

i guess i need to get a small messanger bag then. and i will take the advice on the locker Krispin41.
that is a great idea.

i was really worried about the water rides and the faster rides such as space mountain. i dont want to lose anything.

thanks again guys!!

I just took my Longchamp le pliage to Disney World and it worked out perfect. I could throw a lot of stuff in it, including small purchases and it didn't matter if it got wet or dirty.

LeSportsac makes a great bag called the Deluxe Shoulder Satchel - it's about 7x11, has plenty of room inside, a back full-length zipped pocket(Great for those books of ride tickets!), a zipped and an open front pocket that should hold most digital cameras, and a slip pocket on each end that can easily hold a cell phone, sunglasses, whatever. It's extremely lightweight, washable, and the strap drop can be adjusted anywhere from 14 to 30 inches so even someone very tall can wear them cross-body. They come in really cute designs and can be rolled up and stuffed in a suitcase or even in another bag while taking up about the same space as a pair of athletic socks.

Best of all, they're affordable enough to buy more than one. (And right now they're offering free shipping on all items until July 23rd).

And if I remember correctly there are lockers just outside the Grizzley River Rapids (in CA Adventure) that you can use while riding that ride--without having to pay. I got soaked on that. LOL.
