Messenger, and though I hate to say it out loud, I have a Gucci belt bag, so I would probably think about taking that, too, since I really wouldn't be heartbroken if it got a little roughed up.

And another for Longchamps-between where to put bag on rides, ladies rooms, eateries, lines, etc, by the end of a good day at Disney even a feather weighs a ton, you are so happy but tired-PS Think long and hard about shoes, nothing will kill a day at Disney faster than being unable to walk or stand-not a place (daytime anyway) to try out anything new!! Have fun, it's the greatest!

After eight trips to Disney World, and with a purse on my arm for two of them, you just can't beat a backpack or fannypack. You will REALLY want the freedom of carrying something other than a regular handbag.

When we go on day trips or vacation with the kids, OR buses and subways are involved, I carry a brown leather backpack from Derek Alexander, it holds alot, it isn't masculine and if anything icky happened to it I wouldn't cry.

Take something you don't have to worry too much about, not easy to relax and enjoy the rides if your eyes are on the bag all the time...also go careful with the ink they they stamp on your hands, I was there in July and managed to get yellow ink on my Ivory Sienna (I know, stupid to take it, but it was the last day and we were only watching the fireworks..) I agree with the nylon bags mentioned, hope you and your family have a great time!!:smile1:

We went to Disneyland this summer and I used my Prada nylon backpack. It's very durable and easy to clean, just wipe it down with a diaper wipe. I always use my Prada nylon for vacations, it's also perfect for the beach. I also bring another bag for shopping or sightseeing, I brought my LV damier speedy 30 for when I'm a little more dressed up.

Yep! I would bring my Navy Prada Backpack also!

So I turn the big 3-ZERO in a couple of months and have decided to celebrate by spending my last week or so in my 20s being a kid again and hitting the theme parks in Florida. I REALLY don't want to carry a fanny pack so I could really use some suggestions on a bag that would be secure and easy to carry around the parks. It should be fairly small but big enough to hold the essentials. I am thinking that waterproof would also not be a bad idea, if possible. I was thinking maybe something that goes across the body but I am really open to suggestions. I would like to not break the bank since who knows when I will wear it again plus I would like it to not scream "tourist with money."

In any case, I am really open to suggestions and if anyone has carried something at theme parks before that worked well for them, I would love to hear about it! Even if your suggestion meets none of my ideas or guidelines, I really have no clue here and am very open-minded.

Thanks so much for all your input.
