Definitely take a shoulder bag. I've been to all of the Disney parks at least 2 or 3 times and it can get super hot and muggy, not to mention tiring. Keep your hands free and your body well hydrated. I recently made the mistake of taking my LV Speedy on a night out to a club and regretted it thoroughly. I can't imagine what I'd do with a bag like that for an entire day at a theme park. You may have to sacrifice fashion just this one time. Or maybe not....

We're planning a winter trip to Disney and now that I've been "enlightened" with this forum I just don't want to carry a big old backpack around. The problem is that I still have two small children (6 and 3). The 6-yo is pretty easy and low maintenance just needs a water bottle (I don't want him to get dehydrated). However, the 3-yo might be potty trained (she turns 3 in Jan) but I'll still need to carry extras in case of accidents and of course water and a few necessities.

What bag do you/ or would you take? I'm thinking a sling type of bag, but I don't want it too big. Any ideas? TIA

probably one thats spacious, and that you wouldnt mind spilling stuff on (just incase) and perhaps one that you may lose.. so maybe just a casual tote.? I love disneyworld!! have an awesome time~

Whenever I go to Disneyland, I carry a big canvas tote. Nothing fancy! It's just an old tote from my theater days and it works like a charm. I carry water, extra jackets, and snacks in it (plus maps and the stuff we buy there). That way I can spill stuff on it and set it on the floor of the rides without worrying that I've ruined my bag!

I agree with the girls ^^ stay away from anything that means so much to you. cause it would be a pain to get your wonderful purse stained :'(

Have fun at disney! :D We're planning a 6th bday present for our daughter to Euro Disney ^^ can't wait. lots of fun for the kids and parents in disney ;)

We went to Disneyland this summer and I used my Prada nylon backpack. It's very durable and easy to clean, just wipe it down with a diaper wipe. I always use my Prada nylon for vacations, it's also perfect for the beach. I also bring another bag for shopping or sightseeing, I brought my LV damier speedy 30 for when I'm a little more dressed up.

I went to Disneyland on Friday and carried my Tokidoki Campeggio from Le Sportsac and it was perfect. Light, big enough to carry a change of clothes for my daughter and her jacket and water and all of the new stuff she acquired, hands-free, everything zipped up securely. Plus it entertained many small children waiting for rides.
