The Worst Hermes Color EVER!?

It is very difficult to look at a color, especially an “off” or super sophisticated color on its own. Clearly Hermes is a French company because most of the colors are not easy or simplistic, middle-of-the-road colors. With H it’s all in the styling.

Take Vert Anis, such a hard acid green on its own but holy moly style it with a deep brown tweed suit or aubergine suede pants and a black cashmere sweater and all of the sudden, you have a woman on the best-dressed list. Same, Capucine—white jeans, little metallic flats, and a navy blazer and it’s a pop of coral perfection, (or lime!) especially when you add an H scarf. I’d do Sesame with a charcoal gray cashmere dress, brown suede boots and a camel hair coat. I’ve seen Crevette styled with peacock green cigarette pants, a white shirt, white sandals and a gorgeous suntan and it was sexy, sexy. Blue Jean gets bashed a lot but it’s almost a perfect neutral grayed blue. It does almost everything a gray or black bag does and is way more interesting. It’s gorgeous with almost every fall or winter color you can think of—black, browns, grays, burgundies, greens, and it looks cool in the spring/summer with white, navy, green or red.

I love them all. ❤

Lime! That actually is lemon colour. Unpopular opinion.
I'm with Crazypurselady on this one. I have always assumed that the person in charge of naming the colours is a bit colour blind because 'lime' is clearly bright yellow and bears no resemblance to any actual lime I've ever seen. Moreover the new jaune bourgeon is green not yellow. I must make it clear that I don't have a problem with the colours - only the names that they have been given. Hermes worst colour - again unpopular opinion - must be taupe because it is so middle of the road. It always makes me go 'ugh'.

At the end of the day it's always a personal preference (that can change over time), I mean look at me - I went from hating Vert De Gris and now I own a C24 with GHW in that colour... but am still not smitten by browns (aside from gold), purple or any dark blues. But then give me bright colours like Lime, Blue Frida, Feu, Bamboo etc and I'm all yours!!!
